I have been saved for a little over a year now and I really would live to be able to approach others to tell them about Christ and what He can do for them. The only problem is that I really don't know a good way to approach people. I know that not everyone will be receptive to me, but I would like to see if any of you can give me some ideas just to get started. My church is somewhat new and they don't have a "class" on how to do this yet. Thanks for all your help.

We are told to be created by God, but what about babies with rapist fathers? Here is the dilemma: Satan only destroys and he cannot create, will not create human beings, so it is implausible that Satan creates rape babies; God creates human beings on purpose as his awesome plan for the world, but it too is implausible that God works on his plan by means of sin (i.e. rape) because God is righteous. What I mean is, will you ever call a rape baby God's gift?

And why God creates human beings with defects. I am told by Christians babies are the gifts of God but what good is giving birth to a baby who is so defected/deformed that it cannot live one hour even with the best medical aid? Also why did God create hermaphrodites despite his command of creating two sexes in the beginning (see Genesis). First, human beings (including hermaphrodites) are created by God, and God did not mention there could be hermaphrodites. Mankind's fault as some say? We cannot create, only God can and does.

they all preach basiaclly the same thing...respect for each other, respect for the earth (except christianity), respect for parents, love for children. be a good person.....so why is it that these supposedly peaceful entities have never been able to peacefully co-exist? im trying to go without an anti-religion tirade, because i believe most of the devout are good people, but religion turns people crazy. thoughts? why cant we all just get along?

athiesm is not a religion, its a belief based on supposed facts......written in books, by men much like the bible and other texts....so lets leave the validity of the religions alone and focus onn why they hate each other.

Man builds, destroys and conquers. He leaves behind nature almost to a point were it seems like he tries to escape it by emersing himself in steel buildings, computers, video games, television. I'm not saying we should go back to the stone age but why do we feel the need to sort of "escape" are natural roots.

On the streets we don't look twice at a person struggling to hold a few bags or the person who tries to feed a family of four at or below the poverty level.

What do you think turned people away from nature and brotherhood? My answer: Religion.

Ok, this ended up being a 2 part question/theory, and I was sad, and rather surprised to see very few answers. I would ask that you take the time to read through what I am trying to say, with an open, unbiased mind, and then give me some honest feedback. THIS IS JUST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT. I am not trying to be the next Ron Hubbard.

To me this seem like a backwards teachings to justify their sin of hate against gays. They believe they are the only ones who has a right to interprete the Bible. They also take the Bible so literally they refuse to look at the historical source of the teaching. The Bible says it so it must be so. I never understood why Christians come down so hard on gays and yet refuse to practice other laws of Moses. There is no salvation in the Law. Only Dealth. they want to hold gays to the Laws of Moses an old outdated Jewish law but not themselves. The Law of Moses has no baring on modern life! Being gay is NOT a sin. It's all your heads.

Still, I've always wondered why most of us men are a gang of bust-nuts.

Does it have any Oedipus-ish implications?

The Lord came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran. (Deuteromony, 33.2)

Doesn't this verse refer to the Prophethood of Moses, Jesus and Muhammad respectively, upon them be peace.

Sinai is the place where the Prophet Moses spoke to God and received the Torah.

Seir, a place in Palestine, is where the Prophet Jesus received Divine Revelation.

Paran is where God manifested Himself to mankind for the last time through His Revelation to the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings.

If this is not what the above verse means, then, what is it then?

I was brought up in the Catholic faith and I consider myself to be a moderate Christian but more spiritual than religious. I’ve been seeing a man who is an agnostic BUT attends the Presbyterian Church weekly and he claims that church has been a positive influence in his life BUT does not know if God exists. We’ve been very tolerant and respectful towards each other’s beliefs and values. So, far this relationship has been proven to be very challenging and complicated because of my family and friends does not approve of my association with him due to the religious differences.

I care for him and also for my family and friends… Is there any way that I’ll be able to save this relationship and make everyone happy at the same time. I don’t want to sacrifice one for the other and it’s tearing me apart. Please help me.

And also, I was told that if I ever exchange my soul for a non-believer like him. I will automatically go to hell for good. Is this even a guarantee that God will punish me for this? I don’t believe that God will send me to hell for loving him… I’m not a bad person and would never harm anyone.

I'm a Christian, and I had a friend who I believe was not saved...and if he WAS, he didn't always act like it. He was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident last year, of which I've been torn on the inside ever since. I feel that I could've done a better job at witnessing to him than I really did. It makes me feel so guilty, that if he wasn't a Christian, he'll go to hell, and I didn't do all my part to help him. Please help. What can I do to get this off my chest? I've tried praying, but I still feel so guilty and ashamed...
