I need to do some interviews for a paper I have to do for a class I'm taking. Are there any missionaries here that are willing to allow me to interview them? Thanks.

...nearly half, if not more, of the people answering will dodge the question? I'm not trying to sling mud here, either. It just seems like every time a question like this is asked, there will be several vague and usually irrelevant answers like "I stand on the Word of God, the only Truth" or "How can anyone not believe in God?" or "We should never question God."

Also, if you pose a question of this nature, a lot of people seem to want to jump to the conclusion that you are an atheist. I'm not an atheist. If you're a Christian, are you not allowed to question anything about the faith? If not, then how else are you supposed to learn from it?

And as indicated above, I am not trying to offend anyone with this.

What would make non believers give Christ a chance to save their soul? What would turn down the anger and resentment enough to let Christ into their hearts.

Did you hear the news about this German hetero couple who were lobbying for their relationship to be allowed and sanctioned by the Law?

They were brother and sister, and they'd been living as a couple for some years. I guess they even had normal children.

What's your position about incestuous relationships and marriage? Will you be prejudiced against this type of relationship?

(I'm honestly wondering, I'm all for GLBT marriage)

A great example would be shadowlands, or Malcom X, something along the lines of these. It's for a theology and the human experience of God class.

What if a Young Christian boy gets on here, worried because he's attracted to other men, asking the question we see on here so often, and you, doing your Xian duty, tell him he's an abomination and evil and going to hell and he can't take it--puts the gun in his mouth and becomes another teenage statistic--would you care? Would Jesus care?

im atheist , does anyone else think that religion should be taught to a person when they are atleast 16, 17 or 18 and not when they are only 4 or 5. What really bugs me is that parents force religion onto their kids before they even get a chance to think for themselves.. Kids such as a 4 year old will believe anything.......to me it is like brainwashing someone into believing a religion. Why not let the kid grow up and then teach them religion and let him or her decide for themself to either believe it or not......................

im just wondering if anyone agrees. if you dont agree plz tell me why.

Why else would god have made everything appear as if it took millions of years to occur? The Grand Canyon, Volcano's, the movement of tectonic plates, and mountains, for example. People of even average intelligence can tell that it took millions of years for these things to occur. So god must have made it all that way 6000 years ago when he created the earth in 6 days just to trick intelligent people into turning away from him, while the lower intelligence people will look beyond all the proof and blindly believe.

Being an agnostic/borderline-atheist I do not believe in any god(s) that reign over us, but for those of you who do believe in a god..(or those who don't & wish to interject their opinions)... I pose this question.

Do you think your god would be more pleased with all of his "children" at war & fighting over him/her/it? Or do you believe that god would be happier knowing that his children had learned to live in peace even if it meant sacrificing his worship? In other words.... don't you think god would be happier with all of his creations at peace with one another as opposed to him desiring that all worship him while wars wage on about it?

In my personal opinion, if this god is as "all-loving" as most claim.... surely he would rather sacrifice his image to let his "children" peacefully share & enjoy the world and learn to better themselves as a society instead of bettering themselves individually.

What are your thoughts?

According to the Bible, we aren't supposed to lie, cheat at card games, gamble, smoke, eat candy, cross-breed cattle, blend fibers for clothing, find anyone but our spouse attractive, dye our hair, wear make up, tan, get tattoos or piercings, dance, and women aren't supposed to wear pants or speak unless spoken to..

So why is it we can defy all of the above "sins" but the minute homosexuality is mentioned, we have to follow what the Bible says about THAT?

Practice what you preach, hypocrites.

For the record, I am a straight woman who is married to a wonderful man. I am just sick of hearing how homosexuality is so wrong..

Read "Be An Island: The Practice of Inner
Peace." By: Ayya Khema, last week.

Just finished reading "Being Nobody, Going
Nowhere," yesterday.
Also by: Ayya Khema.

She writes so...clearly, easy to understand, and gets right to the point. Her books are also such an inspiration.

Are you familiar with her entire life ?
What an excellent testimony, she has.

Am learning so much for her insightful, and inspirational writings, to put into practice.

Have you read any other of her books, which you'd recommend me to read ?
It is great when one finds an author, they really click with.

I encourage anyone who hasn't read any of her books, to most definately read,
"Being Nobody, Going Nowhere."

Have an excellent week, and coming wkend.

Seems like a double standard to me. The Church comes down hard on gays but not on straight couples having sex. They just say "oh they are just being kids let them have their fun." Sex outside of marriage is a sin as well or have you forgotton?

The Lord came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran. (Deuteromony, 33.2)

Doesn't this verse refer to the Prophethood of Moses, Jesus and Muhammad respectively, upon them be peace.

Sinai is the place where the Prophet Moses spoke to God and received the Torah.

Seir, a place in Palestine, is where the Prophet Jesus received Divine Revelation.

Paran is where God manifested Himself to mankind for the last time through His Revelation to the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings.

If you do not know the meaning or intepretation leave it and do not waste My time with answers like
1. Muhammad IS NOT in the Bible (So isnt Jesus in OT)
2. I don't see Muhammads name in there (Neither is Jesus or Moses)
3. Places are Places.....

If this verse is mentioned in YOUR Bible, what is the meaning of it then? Don't run away cos you cant hide for long !
