Jesus, mother Mary of Christ these people are so freakin delusional! I can't stand it anymore! But I sit here and torment myself! Sit here and try and reason with this impossible people! Why?

Their God raped, murdered, tormented, tested, crucified and even aborted babies by having swords slashed into pregnant women. Yet these idiots still want to put him on a pedistal and ignore every cruel, inreasonable, totally illogical issue that is the entire bible.

Why? Why can't they be like us? Why can't they see the truth? It's not like their beliefs are all warm and fuzzy right? Most of them will burn in hell becaue they dont come close to following the million + 10 laws and rules in their bible. Is that comforting enough to make them take out and stamp on their own brain?

Some wear it. Some don't.

I would like to hear from both sides what their reasons are and for those who don't wear it, how they resolve this within their faith.

P.S. I am just a curious Christian trying to understand it. Do not get all insulted or defensive or anything.

for true believers and those who have felt christ come into their life like myself. Ive been a christian all my life but recently got so much closer to God and he and totally chnaged my life. I still have many faults but I know my father will forgive me if i repent. I have accepted jesus Christ as the Lord of the Universe and His/Our Father as the Creator who sent jesus. My peers know how i feel but only a couple times have i tried to share the gospel with them in hope of maybe just showing them a glimspse of how great our lord is. But i think some of them think im crazy or if not crazy just oh good for you im glad for you but they never seem to be interested in it themselves. this is frustrating becasue i want the people around me to accept the gift of life also. Have any other christians had this problem? Should i keep this joy between myself and family or keep sharing it? i dont mean in a fanatical way but just every now and then. Please only serious answers

I am just curious. Would you prefer if there was no religion at all, or if only certain religions discontinued? Many churches, even if you do not have the same beliefs do a lot of good for mankind. Do you think the same people doing good would do so if there was no religion? Just curious on your thoughts!

My baby is due August 23rd and I was wondering if there was a specific month you were supposed to get the christening done, and if not about when should I do it? Basically is there a such thing as christening too early?

Who are your most favorite people on here? Who are your least favorite people on here? Also why is it that when you ask a question you have at least 1 or 2 people who verbally insult or abuse you? I'm not even upset about the issue nor am I crying about the issue. I was just curious that's all.

I use to worship Satan for a while, cutting myself and demons dwelt in me. about 1 year ago i came to Christ. Living his way.
But i fell in love with a girl when i fell short with God. We talked and soon enough we were doing sexual things over the phone.
I then started to love her more and more.
I started to become obsessed with her, I did everything i could for her. She was like the devil and i was the demon, it was like i was worshiping her.
After she dumped me i fell way short, started drinking alot for about a week. I then became closer to God. But
I now/still suffer from lust, when i think about her i get so down. Im on Seroquel so help fight my depression and all my other mental problems but i still feel theres something/someone in me that is making me want to call her and just have phone sex or go there and do it with her. I cant help it, i havent talked to her in a while. (but last night on yahoo)
I dont know if theres a demon in me thats controling me or what, how can i sol

this was posted in another answer, i can't believe it, can someone clear this up for me?

'If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.'

WOW, the poor girl not only gets raped, but her father makes money from it AND she is stuck with the rapist forever!

i am not christian, and need to know this is not in the teachings of religious groups, thanks

I love sitting in old empty churches (don't worry, I don't spend all of my time doing this :P)
But I find churches are always locked unless theres a service on.
I know it's to stop vandalism, but don't you think it's terrible we have to shut up what is supposed to be God's house?
Is this what society has come to?
