...Muslims remain blinded by the contradictions of the Q'uran yet are quick to point out the contradictions of the Christian Bible? Isn't it obvious by now that both of these books were created by men to control the masses and distract the individual from finding their true place with God/Allah?

This question is directed towards those who would answer "yes." Suppose there are two men who genuinely get saved at age 25. The first lives in sin from age 25 to age 50 and then lives a Christ-honoring life and does great things for God from age 50 to age 75. The second man does the exact same things as the first, except he does them in a different order. He does the evil at the end. Both die at age 75. According to what you believe the first would go to Heaven and the second would go to hell even though both did the exact same deeds. Does my Salvation depend on what I do immediately before I die or on the fact that I am an eternal child of God as a result of receiving Christ's payment for my sins?

i just joined yesterday, and was very surprised to see the number of self-purported atheists hanging out in religious and spirituality chat. doesn't that seem contradictory to you?

perhaps it would be different if they really wanted to learn something, but from what i have seen. what they often share is belligerent, sarcastic, and filled with resentment.

why do you think the self-purpotrted non-believers come here?

2 Corinthians 11:31--"The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying."

Ephesians 1:3--"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ"

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness....

The 'our' there. Do you think they really understood the awesomeness of it. That before time there was Jesus? Genesis was written centuries before Christ's birth!

St.John 1:1 says in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

This makes me smile.

According to wikipedia..
Omniscience is the capacity to know everything infinitely, or at least everything that can be known about a character including thoughts.
The idea of omniscience (since we can't be satisfied with there just being "time") was made up by humans, since we cannot prove omniscience exists, how in the world can we prove god is omniscient?
If he was omniscient, why did he make time?
Why can't we be in omniscient?
Since "Adam and Eve were supposed to live forever", did they have omniscience? Then when they bit the *forbidden fruit,* is that when time started?
The process of knowing everything..so he knew the world would end up like this before he even began?
Then it says in the bible he regretting making humans at all before the "great flood,"
wouldn't he have regretted it before he started?

Isn't it a bunch of bull?

All the atoms in our bodies recycle on the order of days to years. Take your most significant childhood memory. None of the atoms in your body now were with you at that moment.

I just find it very interesting that 1 in every 1,500 human babies is born with genitals that cannot easily be classified as either male or female or have BOTH.

Also 1 in 10,000 biological males and 1 in 30,000 biological females have gender dysmorphia (born with a mismatched emotional/psychological gender identity in relation to their physical biology).

Scientists have discovered it takes a far more complex set of things to determine gender, not just XX or XY chromosomes. Apparently we all start off sexless until the exact right mix of androgen and estrogen produces a baby with what is considered a perfectly defined gender and identity. But when does anything in nature go perfectly 100% of the time?

I wonder how the Christian sects who are very biblically stringent about gendar roles feel about these findings?

What do you when you get discouraged?

I feel like nothing else matters, that God abandoned me, hopeless.
I am dealing w/ a lot right now including getting a divorce from my wife.
What can I do to get that joy I had? How do I regain that beautiful feeling to know God got it and He is in control. I am very discouraged.

why?...wiki says...'The Church’s view' and here is a quote from their 'God'

"The purpose of the suit is to harass and discourage rather than win. The law can be used very easily to harass, and enough harassment on somebody who is simply on the thin edge anyway, well knowing that he is not authorized, will generally be sufficient to cause professional decease. If possible, of course, ruin him utterly."—L. Ron Hubbard, The Scientologist, a Manual on the Dissemination of Material, 1955

Scientologists claim that the church’s main goal is to be recognized as a religion.....

Scientology’s path to legal recognition as a religion in New Zealand took 48 years and several lawsuits.

Other efforts have had less success. In 1999, the United Kingdom rejected an application for charity status and the attendant tax benefits. The church applied for Canadian tax-exempt status in 1998, was reportedly rejected in 1999,and is not registered as a charity as of May 2006.

If so, why does he pray to himself?
"After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."-John 7:1-3

Anyone who has talked with Muslims on more than one occasion, or is familiar with islamic norms, has almost certainly heard over and over, claims of "no crime" among Muslims.

What's even more amazing is how almost every single muslim you met will cite you supposed American crime statistics. Even Muslim children are readily prepared with all this numbers. Why is that?

Its almost as if, most of Islamic education has nothing to do with islam itself, but instead constitutes western hate propaganda.

"Did you know that a childs lunch money is stolen every 5.000129 seconds!!!!!!". Any crime stat can sound alarming when presented to stupid people with lots of islamic hatred.

Why do they never compare these manufactured rates to those of islamic countries? The reason is...because no one knows them!!!! Islamic countries have no transparency!!

Think of the absurdity here...muslims in essence bash america for its honesty...its forthrightness and willingness to publish information that helps identify and solve problems.

How do we know whether x amount of theft is bad or good? Its the classic numbers fallacy...which is the problem...muslims almost entirely lack any ability to do rational analysis.
