Excellent point! Even after his resurrection to life in heaven, note that 4 times in Revelation chapter 3 verse 12 alone he refers to "My God."
"Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of MY GOD, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of MY GOD, and the name of the city of MY GOD, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from MY GOD: and I will write upon him my new name."

Because Christ is the Son of God, not God himself. God is Christ's Father. He is literally His Father in Heaven and His physical Father. They are two separate individuals.
Also, no where in the bible does it say the word Trinity. This wasn't even introduced as doctrine until between the 3rd and 4th century when a group of men set down to discuss and decide the true form of God. They tried to put an explanation on something that is already explained time and again by prophets and Christ himself. Before this council, people believed in God, Christ and the Holy Spirit, but as Christ taught it: that He and God were separate and that He was the Son of God. Christ never said He was God, He always refered to Himself as the Son.

Col. 1:3: "3Â We thank God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ always when we pray for you."
Jesus is not God. He is the Son of God. John 10:36
By the way, saying Jesus is God has nothing to do with the trinity. According to the trinity, God is made up of 3 co-equal, co-eternal "persons." Jesus is just one person--not three.

I've always viewed jesus as an extension of god. As all people seemingly would be. We all have love in us, which is essentially what god is supposed to be. If we embrace that love than we will be brought back to the source (father, god) etc. The trinity explains that Father, Son, and Holy ghost are all seperate but connected. Seperate encarnations 1 entity. IE love. - But thats a personal view. No real religious backing.

because that is exactly the truth. God even our Father is the One true God. Jesus is our elder brother, Christ, The Son of the living God.
You left out the scripture that says the head of man is Christ and the head of Christ is GOD.
They want to make Jesus "THE" word of John 1:1 which is God not Christ. However christ reflects the word perfectly like a mirror. When You see both of them, you see word but only God is The word. www.branham.org ad www.leevayle.com

You also left out John's words at
Rev 1:6Â "and he made us to be a kingdom, priests to his God and Father—yes, to him be the glory and the might forever. Amen."
So John helps us to translate John 1:1 correctly as t'he Word was a god.'
and
Rom. 15:5Â Now may the God who supplies endurance and comfort grant YOU to have among yourselves the same mental attitude that Christ Jesus had, 6Â that with one accord YOU may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Do we have the mental attitude of Christ? to glorify his God & Father?
Notice what Satan blinds people to:
2 Cor 4:, 4Â among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
If we believe Jesus is more than an image of God, we have been blinded.

That's a good point. As these and other verses show, Jesus is God's son, not God himself.
Jehovah God had no beginning. But Jesus was created.
Colossians 1:13-17: "He delivered us from the authority of the darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through him and for him. Also, he is before all other things and by means of him all other things were made to exist,"
Revelation 3:14 : "And to the angel of the congregation in Laodicea write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God,"

You have discovered the truth of the matter, that Jesus and His Father, God, the Eternal Father, are two separate and distinct individuals. Jesus became God because His Father gave Him that assignment to be the God of this world. It was Christ, under the instruction of His Father, that created this world. He, Jesus, is the God, Jehovah, of the Old Testament. His atonement during His mortal life qualified Him to like His Father, a glorified, resurrected being to reign over and be the God of this world eternally.
When the scriptures mention the two beings, they are speaking correctly. The voice of the Father could be heard from Heaven as Jesus was baptized and again on the Mount of Transfiguration. Jesus is talking to His Father as He prayed in Gethsemane and again on the Cross. During His teachings, he said "if any man will do my will, he will know of the doctrine, whether it be of God or whether I speak of myself". He would not need to differentiate if he were talking about himself. Christ did not receive of a fullness of the Father at the first but received grace for grace and grew from grace to grace until he received the fullness. God the Father is also our father because we are all His children. He is the Father of our spirits, thus He is our Father and God as well as the Father and God of Christ. If we are faithful to the teachings we have been given, then we can also become like them and dwell with them.

There is no Triune God. The Bible points out three seperate entities. They share the same purpose. You know, like the Musketeers....all for one, and one for all.
There is the Almighty God. Then there's his arch angel, whom we call Jesus, and whom the Bible refers to as Michael in Revelations. Then there's the Holy Spirit, the active force that God manipulates to do his will.
The Triune concept is a misinterpretation of the Bible by those Middle Age religious leaders. This belief is propogated in order to confuse the believers so as not to question those religious authorities. Those that believe in this mysterious Triune belief really need to start reading their Bibles and get up to speed.

The Dead Sea Scrolls shows us that mainly, the book of Isaiah has come down to us unchanged. But we do not have the original manuscripts of the new testament, to know if it has been manipulated or corrupted. Translators tend to tailor it to their advantage. It was the catholic church that made Jesus into a Diety, and put their own spin on things - ask them.
