According to wikipedia..
Omniscience is the capacity to know everything infinitely, or at least everything that can be known about a character including thoughts.
The idea of omniscience (since we can't be satisfied with there just being "time") was made up by humans, since we cannot prove omniscience exists, how in the world can we prove god is omniscient?
If he was omniscient, why did he make time?
Why can't we be in omniscient?
Since "Adam and Eve were supposed to live forever", did they have omniscience? Then when they bit the *forbidden fruit,* is that when time started?
The process of knowing everything..so he knew the world would end up like this before he even began?
Then it says in the bible he regretting making humans at all before the "great flood,"
wouldn't he have regretted it before he started?

Isn't it a bunch of bull?

Of course I'm not a true believer, I'm not a believer at all.
I shouldn't be put down because I ask the questions from my brain, which apparently, "god" made.

I say omniscience was made up because there is no evidence of it.

By the way;
Even if I believed in the bible, I wouldn't believe in going to heaven or hell.
“The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all . . . Their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished . . . There is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol [mankind’s common grave], the place to which you are going.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10)

How can the creation of the universe not be complicated??
A little bit of oxygen..a little bit of lithium..dah why not add a few solar systems!
How am I closed minded when I'm not the one shoving out scientific evidence of evolution because a book says god made a chick from a freakin rib??
why did he need a rib anyway?

Simple answer, the bible was written for its time. Let's say you gave a neanderthal man a cell phone and asked him to call someone, he wouldn't have the first clue, so, the bible was written for its audience, and yes, by man, but people that take the bible literally need to remember that back then lessons were passed on in allegories. In other words, maybe Adam and Eve is just a symbol of the creation of time, if you will, or knowledge, if you prefer. When man finally grew up enough to think for himself.

I think the problem with modern man is that we have lost the capacity for imagination, to realize that just because we can't quantifiably prove something with our current science, then it must not exist - that is naive.

Who are we to think we know everything? Personally, I take the bible for what it is, stories, some of which may or may not have happened, but at the end of the day, the main lesson is the golden rule - Do Unto Others.

I don't understand why you say the idea of omniscience was made up...

You claim that it's because we can't be satisfied with just being time. You hypotheses this. Another hypothesis is that their is really an omnipotent being. Another is that the colour blue makes people susceptible to the belief in God. You CAN'T prove the first (yours) so you can't disprove the second or the third. If you sit quietly you can come up with a million hypothesis.

You can't be scientific if you're biased....the result is faulty logic.

Additional Details:
The lack of proof for something doesn't mean it does not exist. It means evidence for it hasn't been found yet.

Seeing that you put God in quotation marks, that clearly indicates that no answers to the questions you have would aid you in your closed minded understanding. That is if understanding is what you are trying to obtain and not just to voice an opinion. Please understand that when I say closed minded, I am not trying to be ugly. It simply means that those who are shut off to the true Word of God is not going to understand.

The problem is people in general take the subject of God and stretch it out. God is simple. The answers are simple as well. But it takes one of open mind and open heart, even skeptical, to understand the answers.

As far as God making time, that question you should be asking God since He is the one who created it.

Omniscience WAS created by man to describe an attribute of God (characteristic). The idea of God knowing everything there is to know about everything was referred to as Omniscience. Omniscience has nothing to do with time. Time started when God created the heavens and the earth.

He did know the world would end up like this. But He also endowed us with FREE WILL. I really have a hard time understanding why this is such a hard concept for everyone to grasp. The human mind can never grasp the vastness of God's potential.

Keep it simple in your understanding. It really is not as complicated as everyone makes it out to be.

I am a Christian and I have to agree with you that my God is not omniscient. It doesnt make sense to say that and then have him doing things that prove otherwise.

Unfortunately, I think the writers or interpreters of the Bible have taken the concepts that God put forth and added their own interpretation. It is for that reason that I stick with my core beliefs. God is the creator of all things, and Jesus is the Son of God. Everything else could well be window dressing added by someone else (including the timetable of creation). I know many of my fellow Christians will not agree and will say that I am being disrespectful to God, but truly I am not. I love Him with all my heart and it is through my prayers that I have received this answer. Sorry if it offends. That surely is not my intent.

He knew the world would get so bad that he would have to cleanse it. God didn't make the earth so that man could have his way on it. When the time came God had had enough of what he knew would happen. That measure is based on his perfect justice. You have to see God as God in order to believe in him being perfectly just. It's a precept that faith is based on. Without it, the knowledge that God is God there is no answer that will satisfy you. Sometimes the knowledge of God comes through faith when you see that your sin, however big or small is horribly sinful, and that if there is a God then we don't deserve to be in his presence, and if there is a holy God then we deserve to be in hell. All the world's knowledge is moot when it comes to proving God. Only faith in him will give you peace.

We will only know those questions when we get to heaven. As far as why God created us, thats easy, to share His love! God created us in His own image. Lucifer was jealous of Jesus being able to create a world with God, because Lucifer wanted to be second in command of all he spread awfull lies about God to the other angels.

God had to prove that He truly was a just and loving God, so He couldn't kill lucifer right then and there. Otherwise the rest of the universe would serve Him out of fear. He also gave us humans the choice to serve Him or serve lucifer. He didn't want us to fall, but by our own choice we fell, and now God is showing the universe how mercifull and loving He is and how He cares very deaply for us by allowing us to go through trials and pain.

How about this, make it to heaven and you can ask him yourself. Hell is overflowing with people who just couldn't quit asking questions and accept what is. If I were you I would go and speak with a preacher. If you are truly wanting your questions answered and not being bias than that is your best bet. I will say that evolutionist want us to believe that it rained on rocks for millions of years and that is how earth came to be. Go and read about how complex a blade of grass is and tell me that it was not made by God. Beauty did not sprout out of no where, something had to be there all along.

Yep. It's a bunch of bull.
Some say the universe IS complicated and therefore unlikely. But a creator, to create the universe, must be more complicated and therefore even more unlikely.
I feel really sorry for religious people.

Did it ever occur to any of you that God knows how WE will END! We may not have insight now but God knows when OUR moment of triumph will be and deemed us worthy to exist. And like any Father, He does not control but, lets us learn on our own. He knows that we will be a great people in the far future. And He is willing to be patient with us.

Ponder this.

How do you know that God is the one who put that question in your brain?

BAM!

First of all before i say anything i will have to congratulate you, because many of the people believe in relegion blindly just because of their parents. You are depending on what your mind tells you, so thats good. Well let me ask you a few questions. Just say i bring a machinary in front of you that no one has ever seen before and i ask you who knows the function of this machine. You would obviously say the manufacturer or the maker or the creator or the inventor etc. So how do you think the world came out, or the universe and all the nature. If it just came out of no where how can it be so perfect. Okay moving on, the study of embryology right now has just been discovered recently that is about a hundred years ago. But who do you think told about the development of an embryo before 1400 years ago in the Holy Qura'an, obviously the Creator (GOD). Next point, it was only before like 500 years or so people started to admit that the world is spherical in size but then the Quran said this 1400 years ago. Who do you think would have said this, obviously the Creator(GOD). My next point, it was only a few years ago that science told us that the sun rotates on its own axis, but Allah said this in the Holy Quran 1400 years ago in chapter 21 verse 33 ( you can confirm it by referring to the Quran). It was only recently that science says that mountains prevent the Earth from shaking but my Creator, Allah said this 1400 years ago in Chapter 78 Verse 6 and 7. And another point, science only recently found that the universe is expanding but Allah said this in the Quran before 1400 years ago in chapter 51 verse 47. Hope i have proved enough about the existence of God. Im not an expert in Islam, but there are people with better knowledge than me and all ill say is Islam is the true relegion and hope to see you as another brother or sister in Islam. You can watch the video of this expert speaker which might make you a bit more confident and reading the Quran would clarify all your doubts im sure. If you have time watch both these videos-
