This question is directed towards those who would answer "yes." Suppose there are two men who genuinely get saved at age 25. The first lives in sin from age 25 to age 50 and then lives a Christ-honoring life and does great things for God from age 50 to age 75. The second man does the exact same things as the first, except he does them in a different order. He does the evil at the end. Both die at age 75. According to what you believe the first would go to Heaven and the second would go to hell even though both did the exact same deeds. Does my Salvation depend on what I do immediately before I die or on the fact that I am an eternal child of God as a result of receiving Christ's payment for my sins?

If you are truly in Christ.....then no

Our salvation is more than secure in Jesus (John 10:27-30)
(Romans 8:28-39)

The Bible plainly states, "he who endures to the end, he shall be saved" (Matt 24:13; Mark 13:13). That makes it pretty clear, don't you think? The real flaw in your question is the false notion that we can actually become irreversibly saved during our time on earth. Protestants use the term "being saved" to mean making a commitment to Christ, but the term is misleading. As the above passages clearly indicate, salvation happens at the end of life, not any time before then. This is because no matter how faithfully we are following Christ today, we still have free will and we are still subject to temptation, and therefore we can still turn our backs on Him tomorrow, as some do. When this happens, Protestants say, "well he was never saved in the first place". Correct! And neither is anyone else. Earthly life is the road to salvation, but we are saved - or not saved - only when we reach the end of that road.

No because if you confessed Christ as your savior and you repented of your sins With ALL YOUR HEART - HE WILL GIVE YOU THE SALVATION. But if you fall he will lift you up again. He will never live you, Of course we can sin from time to time. does not mean we lose our salvation, but God can discipline us for the wrong things we Do. If God gave you Salvation, he will not take it Away from You!

If you Received Christ how can you be thinking you could end up in hell!! So yeah you could say a person turned away from God, but remember that Jesus is our Pastor if someone is out of the Redil he will save you still. That's the Love of the Father.

Not to mention that The Holy Spirit will guide You, and he will never leave you!!

The Scritures and from Jesus very own words is their an coverage that one and all you suspect might have eternal existence. the communicate must be; can a Christian provide up believing??? each and everything is attainable if we've self belief! Mat. 18:15-17. Rebelation 3 of the church of Sardis. Exudus 32. Peter 3. those guy or woman believed at first, yet falling in sin, they does no longer choose to repent. no longer believing do no longer produce sturdy culmination.

We are all redeemed by Christ's Sacrifice on the Cross.

But we can throw away our salvation.

In your example, the first man sins- BUT repents for those sins and shows his repentance by honoring God.

The second man throws away his salvation through his sin.

Jesus told this very story. A man had two sons, he asked ech of them to go work the vineyard. The first said, yes I'll go- then did not. The second refused to go, then felt bad and did go out and work. jesus asked, " Who did the will of his father?" The answer is the second one- and so it is in your example

The destination of our soul is determined by the condition of our sould at the time of our death.

This is where the idea of purgatory enters. Some die after leading decent lives, with some stain of sin. A merciful God would not refuse entrance to heaven for a 'mild' sinner. But nothing that is not absolutely pure can enter heaven. Purgatory is a condition of purification of a sould destined for heaven- but not pure enough.

The fact that how your eternal reward is determined is the way you live your life. Yes, Jesus did die for your sins once and for all, but you can mess up. There are consequences for sin. You will have to pay in a way for them. Everyone has to go before the judgment seat of God and answer for his or her deeds. So if you lived your life as a good or bad example of the Love of God, then your reward will be dealt out accordingly.
I hope this helps.

Read verses below first.
The Magi came to the new born King (Jesus was about 2 yrs old now) and the Magi presented him with gifts but the interesting part of this is that instead of staying and serving God/Jesus the King they decide to depart. THEY had just seem the face of God and they left!!
John 3:16 God gave us his begotten Son, the prince of peace, the King of kings, the Savior of the world and the leave their Savior!!
Sadly many of us do the same thing we come to the Lord or Savior and because we want to be in with the hip things in life we walk away from our salvation.
As Christians we have to decide to walk in the narrow path with Christ the Savior or jump on our camels and take high road....which will you choose??

It's not what you do, it's where you put your faith. It's who you become, because that's the soul that will be going to heaven or hell.

As for the second man, my guess is that his faith was not strong in the beginning. Look up the parable of the sower (Mark 5, I believe) and look at where Jesus explains about the rocky soil.

Faith is what saves. Yet even the demons have faith. Obviously, to be saved, you need a special type of faith: an enduring faith, a faith that is strong enough to spur you to action. Your second man never truly had that faith in the first place, or with the Holy Spirit's help, he would have endured.

Luke 9:62
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Luke 3: 9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

God's word is greater than anyone's opinion.

No you cannot lose your salvation. Jesus died for your sins only one time. Once truly saved, always. You have everlasting life through Christ and once you accept it you're free. One of those men will certainly recieve more rewards in heaven than the other.
