Which do you think? And I don't want just quotes from the bible or Darwin, I want actual thoughts. I say both.

Why can't Punishment in Hell fit the sin, and be for a set period of time?

I have gone through a lot and I am also blessed, but sometimes I think others have had it easy because they did not have to fight the battles I have had to fight and it seems that life is easy for them, and I will be like nothing gets on thier case they have money, kids etc.

I am learning that this is no way to live life because it is comparing and the Bible says not to do this.

I sometimes and resentful that I as well as my husband had to go through a lot of"red tape" to get married and everyone was up our butts about the bills and supporting eachother etc, We in many ways did not have the typical romantic courtship.

I know bad habits or thought done go away in an instant but what are godly ways to not be jealous covetous or envious of others, what are godly ways to view people with compassion and love and not assume that they had it "easy".

This is something I have struggle with for years and I would like Victory in the Lord from these thoughts.

To clarify..I think that we Christians should stop fighting against each other. What I am talking about is Doctrine. Who made up doctrine? Man did. We have Baptist, Pentcostal, Methodist, Church of Christ..etc. the list goes on and on. Shouldnt we be aiming for the same goal here? Witnessing to others and shareing God's love with others? Yet we fight over who is right and wrong. I think this is what gives us a bad name sometimes. Sinners see us fighting with each other and wonder why they would want to be a part of that. We need to band together and put our differences aside (doctrine) and use the BIBLE to guide us through this world. I was raised Free Will Baptist and when people ask me what is beliefs of the doctrine. Why are we so hung up on the name on the church sign and doctrine?

I heard that the old testament included many horrible verses. However, through my reading in Quran I found a verse that seem to be horrific to me. It says [Al Maida 5:33]:

"The punishment for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger (Muhammed), is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and there is still a heavy punishment in the Hereafter"

Can any Muslim tell me what does this horrible verse mean?

If, according to your Bible, God is going to win the war, why do I have to suffer seeing agony, misery, hate, and crime?

Iscariot was one of Jesus' disciples and walked with Him for 3.5 years, yet none of the other disciples considered him a servant of satan (Judas was the one who betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver).

Many questions concerning "christians" are asked on Y/A Religion. But "christian" is a vague term as I have shown. Perhaps we can use the term "true believer" or "born-again person" or "saved person" to designate someone who has been given eternal life through the grace of God (Jesus Christ)?

Faith is the belief without reason. Why would you believe in something without a reason to. It seems odd to me. Please explain. Hopefully I will get an answer that satisfies my reason.

Does it bother you that Christians use that phrase and the one 'you're taking it out of context' when they usually are?

Not one of you religious idiots can answer this question truthfully without compromising your own religious faith. Your God would see you as being sinful and disobedient as well as anti-IT! So America struggles each day with Freedom of Religion, as one religion gains more ground than another based primarily upon the majority vote of the religion that holds the power. All other religions are allowed to worship freely but just tell me of one other religion that has been has taken to task the religious obligation of trying to further itself upon this country than CHRISTIANITY! It is not for a belief of LOVE THY Neighbor either; but for sure pure domination. I have seen the evidences of Christ and God and find this truth to be true; America formed when men escaped KINGDOMS and Kings, God and Jesus have called themselves KINGS, we need to rid our country of these monarchs and those that follow them in the name of religious persecution. One day man will find the spirit within himself!

There appears to be two separate divisions of the light and darkness in the first chapter of Genesis! Why is this so? Wasn't one division all that would be needed? How could God divide the light from the darkness before He created the Sun and its light on the Fourth Day? And for the matter, where did the light come from on Day Two that God divided? Why didn't He just wait until Day Four to divide the light and darkness, for He is God, and He knew that He would be creating the Sun, Moon and Stars all on Day Four? Tis a puzzlement, . . .but with an astonding answer. Do you know it?

It is a quote of Hos. 11.1 - “When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.” Yet if you will continue on, you will see that it was about Israel, not Jesus. “The more they were called, the more they went away; they kept sacrificing to the Baals and burning offerings to idols.” – Hos. 11.2. This wasn’t a prophecy about some future event at all, but a comment on a past event. So why did Matthew say that Jesus went into Egypt to fulfill a “prophecy” that was fulfilled before it was ever written?

BTW, if you think that this is an example of a “dual-fulfillment” prophecy, please explain why anyone should believe that.

I know that some Christians (I said some, not all) believe that Atheists are evil, without morals, don't know right from wrong, are depressed...the list goes on and on.
My question to you is, why do you think these things? Is it because you know numerous Atheists that are these things that you believe of us, or is it just your misconception of something you don't understand? Or is it that you believe all these things of all people that don't believe in your god and Atheists are just the easiest to target?

Well as much as I don’t want to be one of those people who ask about their religious dreams on here, this one has been bugging me. On night of Feb. 24 I had a dream where I was in this small, gray room. It was full of cobwebs, and covered in cobwebs was a table. The table looked long enough that 5 people could fit on one of the longer sides, along with 5 chairs, but only one chair was there. In this chair was a skeleton, positioned to look exactly how Jesus looked at the last supper (in the painting). He was wearing the same clothes as he was in the painting, and his expression in that painting perfectly matched that of the skulls (obviously, skulls in real life are expressionless). I looked, and strangely, I wasn’t scared. I looked down at the table and in front of him was a knocked over gem studded (old, dull-colored gems of dark blue and red) silver glass with a small amount of blood pooled inside of it. I turned to the wall on my right, and more blood was spattered all over a 3 by 3 ft. area of the wall.

Yes, I could choose to walk away from my Dad's grave in Arlington, and ignore the fact that he won a Purple Heart, in order not to have to say to my grandchild, "No, that person with the Pentacle over there is not Satan, Hun, his family just believes a bit differently than ours". Of course, since she is five, she is MUCH more able to understand this than a stadium full of high school grads, who could have walked out, if they were that annoyed. Unless, of course, their graduation means as much to them as my Dad's grave does to me. Does that make sense?
OH, and OF COURSE there are more Christian bigots than atheist bigots...that woud be because there are more Christians to begin with, maybe?
(I lived through seven teenagers, the "ICP", and more recently, Katrina. My shock level is probably higher than most, but thanks, Kate!!)
