I have gone through a lot and I am also blessed, but sometimes I think others have had it easy because they did not have to fight the battles I have had to fight and it seems that life is easy for them, and I will be like nothing gets on thier case they have money, kids etc.

I am learning that this is no way to live life because it is comparing and the Bible says not to do this.

I sometimes and resentful that I as well as my husband had to go through a lot of"red tape" to get married and everyone was up our butts about the bills and supporting eachother etc, We in many ways did not have the typical romantic courtship.

I know bad habits or thought done go away in an instant but what are godly ways to not be jealous covetous or envious of others, what are godly ways to view people with compassion and love and not assume that they had it "easy".

This is something I have struggle with for years and I would like Victory in the Lord from these thoughts.

Satan is the one whispering all these "lies" to you. Like "see how easy they have it, but you have to struggle". Or whatever tactics he uses to get you down. He knows that's your weakness. It has happened to me. I know now how to fight back. And I know not to let these thoughts dwell bc then we open the door to satan.

So don't dwell on these thoughts. Don't allow him to steal your joy. As soon as they enter your mind say "I am a child of God" "I know my inheritance" & quote scripture like

Phil 4:19
19 And my God shall supply all your (my) needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Say "I resist you devil (with authority)" & Know & Believe that he runs away like a wounded puppy.
You've allowed the enemy to beat you up with these lies for too long. You've been given authority to rebuke him.

Luke 10:19
19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Read God's Word daily...God's Word brings so much love, joy & peace that no material things can give you. Only Jesus. Read the struggles many have had in the Bible like Paul but he still rejoiced.
Phil 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Sing Praises to our Lord. The spirit of oppression gets lifted up. Put on the garment of Praise (Isaiah 61:3) & when you do that, your spirit gets lifted up. You forget about your burdens & troubles.

We all have a cross to carry...I keep on keeping on with Jesus. I know He hears my prayers. You will overcome as you surrender all to Jesus. When you pray, BELIEVE!

James 1:6-8
6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

Numbers 6:24-26
24 " ' "The LORD bless you
and keep you;

25 the LORD make his face shine upon you
and be gracious to you;

26 the LORD turn his face toward you
and give you peace." '

You don´t know if others struggle or not in teiir everyday life. You have no idea of how easy or hard others lives are. You say you fight battles. But you have no idea what battles those that you envy have fought.

You even say late in your message that it´s a bad habit to be jealous and covetous and envious. And yet that is exactly what you´re expressing in your first sentence.

Maybe the cognitive dissonace express in your post is a typical christian type of mind malfunction. And not an overall human mind deficit like christians often want to claim. It is not so that everbody else got a specific deficit just because you got it.
Nothing is fair you cold say.
You can never assume things about people you know nothing about exept that they are atheist or christians or muslims or agnostics or blind or mental midgets or...

None of us know why we have to fight so many battles but take it from someone who has had their share that what doesn't kill you will only make your stronger. You know the eventual outcome, so why worry about the piddly little time we spend on this planet? Trust in God and know that he is in control even if it doesn't always seem that is the case.

Maintaining a daily walk with God is a good start. The Bible says, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." If you are busy looking at what others have or how easy others seem to have it, then you aren't then you aren't seeking what you should be. Don't compare yourself to others. Doing so will only aid in becoming like others. Our goal as Christians is to become like Christ. Comparing ourselves to Him is our only true measure. Lastly, the Bible also says that it rains on the just and the unjust. This means that not all physical "rewards" and "punishments" are sent by God as "rewards" and "punishments" There is some stuff in life, good and bad, that just happens, and unfortunately when it happens, it doesn't always happen to those who deserve it or who have earned it.

Luke 6:20
Looking at his disciples, he said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

1 Thessalonians 5:18
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 John 2:17
And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

John 16:33
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

1 Corinthians 7:31
those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away.

One good thing to do is, as Jesus said, "Watch and pray lest you enter into temptation." Expect that you will be tempted in this area, and have a memorized scripture ready for the event when it occurs. As soon as you are tempted, confess to the Lord and ask for help, then quote this aloud, under your breath and use it to resist the devil, "Satan, the Bible says, 'Thou shalt not covet.'" Continue doing this until the Lord has given you a new habit to replace the old habit of comparison and coveting. It works - the scripture is the "Sword of the Spirit" and can effectively drive away the devil.

Remember the Lord has great rewards for overcomers and don't be deceived by what you see in other people's lives..I too have been through a lot..so much and so personal that I can't list it here...You'll be able to help other people and I promise God doesn't always want your life to be a struggle.
You can click on my avatar and read more...I have been through it all and God is faithful...abuse, sickness, financial difficulties, rejection from family, emotional problems too much to list here...Yet, I am very blessed now and people always think my husband and I just woke up like this one day..But they didn't see the struggles, sleepless nights, tears, fear, etc....And we didn't have the typical romantic courtship either..I have no nice wedding pictures, no honeymoon..but now (years down the road I can travel anywhere)..Don't give up God will bring you through..As you will see from the many answers, many of us have had to resist allowing bitterness and jealousy into our lives..Focus on the Word and the Lord..Bless you.

You have to give these thoughts to Jesus every morning and every night. He can take them away. Also pray for those you envy, you will learn to love them. Remember that Jesus also said being rich is not good, money then becomes god.

it is hard to see others 'breeze' thru life when we have to endure and struggle to achieve what God has planned for us.... but in the end, we know that God carried us thru the struggles.. and God will remain faithful. He doesnt promise us easy roads... but He does promise us rest for the weary, and comfort and peace and mostly, Joy... we just have to choose the Joy each day even in teh midst of trials.

I'm not sure what your 'red tape' was to get married... but I think that you can overcome lots of 'earthly' thoughts by focusing on each and every blessing of the day....

hang in there... pray for peace over the areas that are causing you distress!

You only need to ask God's help for this problem...You have to be willing to admit this stuff, which you have to us, he will help you, prayers really do help....take it from me, God has helped me more times than I could tell you...did you ever think that maybe those people don't really have the easy life? All we see, is what they are willing to show us...I don't think anyones life is perfect, there is always some kind of problem...Please trust that God will help you to be the person you want to be..
God Bless.

God allows you to be tested because he knows you can withstand the pressures associated with those tests. Look at Job. God knew he was a great man of God, so he allowed the devil to do anything but kill him. Look at tests that way, and it can actually be encouraging.
