We all have this ability as well as other gifts. We fear these gift or have been taught they are evil. It is just part of our make up as man.

I'm assuming you're talking about apparitions.

Everything in nature (nature includes space and the cosmos) is made up of energy. Where ever we go and whatever we do, we leave energy imprints.

A bit of a personal story: as much as I like to, I can't go antique shopping because the products have so many energetic imprints from other people, it becomes overwhelming. I end up feeling very light-headed to the point of passing out. I've been this way since I was little and unable to understand why.

These imprints also stay after we die. Most of the time. when someone says they've seen a ghost, they're seeing the energy imprint of the person who's passed. Rarely are they actual spirits.

So, it really has nothing to do with heaven. hell or limbo - or anything religious for that matter. It's all physics.

Depends on your Belief: Some Spirits Transition Slowly
Many religions believe that there is a time of about 3 days before the Soul will "move on". And Some also say that people will die but not know that they are dead, so they stay, and become either the restless souls, or souls that some see.
As I understand Limbo, it is a different state, like a "plane" on which Spirits will reside before going to some place else... However, some define limbo as this place. And then some say that you can see Limbo better at certain times in the year

I don't think so. I saw both of my children before they were born. Also, when my son was 2 months premature my grandmother stayed with me until I didn't need her any more...she had passed away 2 years earlier.

No. I don't believe in "limbo". I believe in the "spirit world", where spirits work, laugh, learn, play, whatever. Yes, I do believe in a hell...but I believe that the majority of people are good...and so I believe that the majority of people will not be there. I believe that our family members still care about us and that we are lucky to have them come back to us when we need them. I have felt their strength and love when I have felt alone.

How can you be certain that what you're seeing is actually a dead relative? How can you draw conclusions based on unreliable perception? There's no such thing as limbo.

No, they're not stuck in limbo. Sometimes they've come to help. I have many examples of it in my own life. It depends on how each of us see it, there is no universal truth in this.

Either that, or it's just a residual memory, like a photograph. It depends on if they interact or not. My best friend died suddenly in July. I saw him standing in my house, for just a few seconds. Others of his friends reported the same thing. I think he wanted to say goodbye.

You can't. All things are relative but dead relatives are not things.

Haven't seen my past on relatives since they were put in coffins.

But if you ask Sylvia Brown, its because they come back for a little visit. Nothing major. Just a "hi, how ya doin. I'm fine. See ya."

It's a psychological projection.

Primoa: If demons can make themselves look like anything they want - that must include god and angels. Either christians are in trouble or you need to put some thought into your answers.
