It doesn't say much, and I frankly was unimpressed. Try reading the Gnostic text "Infancy"

First it isn't called the Gospel according to Judas, it is called the Gospel of Judas, and it makes for an interesting read, but before you go reading something like this, which is considered non biblical and non factual, study well the true Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Be rooted in your faith which ever that may be, then read it. It has some interesting stories in there.
Secondly it is not a Gospel. For biblical text to be a Gospel it must have a Birth Narative, works of Christ, His death and resurrection. This book had only works and then tries to make Judas out to only be following Christs own commands to have him arrested and persecuted, no passion story at all.
Enjoy truth and not fiction, only read fiction knowing that is not truth.
God bless you always, thanks for the opportunity to spread the Gospel of life.

Actually, the popularity of films like the Da Vinci Code have given rise to more interest in Gnosticism. Things like the Gospel of Judas are full of bizarre claims for it and the views of Gnosticism it represents. I recommend you read the book, "Judas and the Gospel of Jesus: Have We Missed the Truth about Christianity?", by N.T. Wright, to better understand the issues.

In reading some of the previous answers, I will tell you that their are no such books as the Gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. Matthew, Mark and Luke are the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Good News, the Living Word of God. Men name them, Matthew, Mark and Luke.

The Gospel of John is in fact the Testimony of John the Baptist. Read John 1:19

Judas did a he was commanded by God ( 30 peices), just as he did 1500 years earlier, as Judah (20 peices)..Read John 13:18 and :31.

To see who actually betrayed Jesus read all of John with a new heart. Pay close attention to how Jesus treated Peter.

My whole problem with the gospels is the "According to" label given them.
I could write the Gospel according to me and it of course would be my own interpretation.......

Did he write it before or after he hanged himself? Matt 27:5
Or was he the ONLY apostle to keep a journal during their journey with Jesus. It's just more fiction to try and confuse people.

It's a total fake.
Written long after he was dead, around 200 ad.

Think about the power of God. He can raise the dead, split a sea, create a world, he can create!
Don't you think he got into his bible what he wanted?
