I think it's important to show the method of salvation, as that a desire for salvation must come from within yourself. Nobody can make that choice for you.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost.
You must be baptized in Jesus name, and filled with the Holy Ghost as evidenced by the speaking of tongues.

Do not consider myself a christian, notbecause I don't believe in Jesus, but because He told HIs followers to follow the Holy Spirit after He was gone. Would like to answer your question anyway. Matthew6:22.Correct interpretation and application eliminates confusion.

Acts 4: 10-12... I know thats 3 verses :-)
It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11He is " 'the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.[a]'[b] 12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

1 Timothy 4:10
For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
Notice that the verse says that God is the Saviour of all men. I just give them the facts, they can believe it or not, but it doesn't change the fact that God is their saviour.

JAMES 1:5-6
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Matthew, Chapter 7
It tells how you should not judge other people. I think that this one is the best to use because many people have difficulty loving others if they judge people all the time.
