Man builds, destroys and conquers. He leaves behind nature almost to a point were it seems like he tries to escape it by emersing himself in steel buildings, computers, video games, television. I'm not saying we should go back to the stone age but why do we feel the need to sort of "escape" are natural roots.

On the streets we don't look twice at a person struggling to hold a few bags or the person who tries to feed a family of four at or below the poverty level.

What do you think turned people away from nature and brotherhood? My answer: Religion.

My answer:

Lack of Religion.

Where did Jesus teach that we are supposed to be uncaring, mean and greedy?

We need to follow Jesus more closely, not blame him for our collective sins.

Peace!

We are still connected to spirituality/brotherhood as we still love one or the other person in our life (be it family, riends etc.). And, we still turn to God when we are in trouble.

But the problem is that we fail to have the good feelings for the whole humanity, And, we get too lost in the world to remember our connection with nature/spirituality.

And the reason is ignorance...

- Ignorance about our own existence which makes us fall into the false trap of materialism.
- Ignorance from the truth that our true religion is humanity.
- Ignorance of what our religious scriptures teach us that makes us misused by the people who succeed in misguiding us.

And, I don't think the answer can be religion. It's like someone fails in maths exam, and holds maths responsible saying "Had maths not existed, I would never have failed."

You are so mistaken.
Besides all the negatives in our world today, there have been no time in our History when people have shown more care for the each other. Check it out if you dare.
