What did he do? (I don't know who this is, but just wanna know a few facts about him)

I'm not trying to be insulting, I'm asking a genuine question here.

Sometimes the solution to a problem is hard to find, but invariably, most problems turn out to be much simpler to solve than they first seem.

Sometimes, after sleeping on a problem, the answer will occur to you naturally.

Sometimes things just turn out to be easier than you thought they'd be or go better than you thought they would.

As an atheist, I just put this down to life being easier when you face problems rather than avoid them.

As christians, if you have prayed for a solution to a problem, and then you find an answer, would you consider that your prayer has been answered?

I am not digging at christians just seeking answers. i have asked these two questions to a number of priests and pastors over the years and they cannot answer them so i invite you to give it a try...
1/ if adam and eve were the first man and woman on earth. How is it that when caine was bannished after killing able he went forth and had children of his own. Either the bible lies about eve being the first woman on earth or caine commited adultary with his own mother?
2/ It is stated quite clearly that God only had one son. How then is it that later in the bible it says that the son's of god came down and took the daughters of men. indicating that god in fact had more than one son?
These are only two of a miriad of discrepancies in the bible.
Won't go into the now but would like to see how you go answering these two.

If abortion and homosexuality are a sin, and there is a God, then won't he be the judge? Why do you want to take his job away. Not everyone believes as you do, so stop telling people what to do. If you think abortion is wrong, then don't have one. If you think homosexuality is bad then leave that altar boy alone father

If so this is both good news and a little known fact. Many of us who are Catholic are told every day about how we are followers of the anti-christ, idol worshippers, don't read our Bible, belong to a false church, secretly worship satan, knowingly worship satan, etc. etc. If many of you oppose these slanders and know they are lies would you please start saying so publicly? If it is possible to build a bridge and close the gap between us will you help to do it?

When atheists ask questions about the bible, we are trying to encourage an exploration of the ideas put forth in the bible.

It must be understood that the bible is a text we consider to be fiction and it puzzles us that so many people treat it as sacred dispite it's obvious contradictions.

This site is supposed to be here so that everyone can ask questions on any aspect of religion and spirituality.

is it not important in the quest for knowledge and understanding, to be able to QUESTION as well as ask questions?

I often come across humourous responses to christian questions, yet they are taken offensively. I recently came across a "Dress-up Jesus" figure. I appreciated its satirical quality and have ordered a couple. Do you think it is funny or in bad taste?

A Christian I was speaking to was saying that there was proof that Jesus lived but when I asked what the proof was he became rather vague.
As an agnostic I am not trying to say he did or did not exist I just wondered is there actual solid proof of his existence?

Then Mary is The MOTHER OF GOD
Although Mary is the Mother of God, she is not his mother in the sense that she is older than God or the source of her Son’s divinity, for she is neither. Rather, we say that she is the Mother of God in the sense that she carried in her womb a divine person—Jesus Christ, God "in the flesh" (2 John 7, cf. John 1:14)—and in the sense that she contributed the genetic matter to the human form God took in Jesus Christ.

To avoid this conclusion, Fundamentalists often assert that Mary did not carry God in her womb, but only carried Christ’s human nature. This assertion reinvents a heresy from the fifth century known as Nestorianism, which runs aground on the fact that a mother does not merely carry the human nature of her child in her womb. Rather, she carries the person of her child. Women do not give birth to human natures; they give birth to persons. Mary thus carried and gave birth to the person of Jesus Christ, and the person she gave birth to was God.
