Around christmas my husband of 6 yrs cheated on me with a so-called family friend. I had no clue, although we were having problems i totally trusted him. He broke things off with her, and talked with a friend of his who is a christian for advice. This person told him he had to come clean about it and change his life and pray to God to save him and his family from destruction. Feb 3 my husband confessed to me, he told me everything. He seemed sincere, crying and begging me not to leave him not to take the kids to give him another chance. He said he would do whatever it takes to fix our marriage. because he did confess on his own, and for my 2 small babies I decided to give him that second chance. He has done a complete 180, we moved, changed jobs (broke all contacts) he has accepted the lord, reads the bible everyday, goes to church, and even i accepted the lord. we are communicating finally, and becoming a better family and couple.

my only worry is if it will be a permanent change?

Some Christians on here are so obsessed with atheists. Every question they ask has the word atheist, or atheism in it. Do you have a secret desire to become atheists yourself? Are you curious about atheism? Angry at atheists? Just curious.

(no, I'm not an atheist. I'm mildly agnostic.)

1 Peter 1:6-7
So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

So take it like a Christian! Hold your head up and in ALL things give God thanks!!!!

What are you struggling with?

Don't you think we should condemn all the Christians that do not even keep the great commandment before we go about condemning all the gay people and Atheist and such?

Mat 22:36 Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law?
Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

I find it interesting to hear other peoples opinions especially when they are different then mine, it helps me to expand my views of thinking and sometimes change or alter my opinion on a subject.

I was wondering what do you believe happens after we die? Reincarnation, heaven, becoming a ghost, … nothing?

Along with that question what do you think happens to a fetus when it is aborted? do you think they are re-born in another pregnanc, or treated as if they were a person who has lived life and died?

I don't, because honestly, I don't see much of a point. You can present every logical argument in the book, but in the end, people will believe whatever they want to believe. So...unless there's something I'm overlooking, or you just like to argue and debate for the conversational and intellectual stimulation that comes from it, I don't see where it gets much of anywhere. However, there have been times when I have discussed (not really debated) religious topics with people. But when that happened, it was because the people I was talking to were open-minded enough to consider a variety of topics, and would not tell me I was stupid or that I was going to Hell for thinking a certain way.

That they have the faith to believe in His Gospel Truth even to be martyred. They are martyred because they don't deny Jesus Christ their Savior, who washed their sins away in His redeeming blood.

They are not martyred for blowing self up & enemies of God in a crouded restaurant.

They are murdered for their faith. Why do they believe sooo strongly Jesus Is as is recorded in the Holy Bible & what He has done in their heart?

I've been wondering about the passage in the Bible that says if someone strikes you on the cheek, you should offer the other one, too. If someone slaps you on the cheek, that's not an offense meant to cause harm. But if someone balls up his fist and nails you, does the verse preclude self-defense? I don't think so, but I'd like to hear others' thoughts about this.

Why is it that when someone asks a legitamate question about matters of faith, so many people lash out with "god doesn't exist"? If you are not a beliver why don't you let the ones who are, try to help the asker? Stop trying to force your evil beliefs upon the ones who don't want to hear it.
