1 Peter 1:6-7
So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
So take it like a Christian! Hold your head up and in ALL things give God thanks!!!!
What are you struggling with?

Jedi,
God made everything. All things are by his miracle power and that is precious.
In his sight some do good and some bad, those with free will. God deserves better!
Gold is not sinning against God like you are. Maybe that is why gold is precious to him?

not only were you crucified with Christ, you died with Him too. The best part is that you were resurectec with Him. So get away from hanging on the cross because Jesus is alive and so are you. Get up and getr going person of God the struggle is because you are not resisting the devil and are remaining in the natural..Will you sufffer? Will you be persciuted? Will you have troubles as a follower of Christ. Yes but it will only be parellel to your level of surrender. Give it up and let God have his way and it will not matter if they lob off your head, because on the other side of this gross material flesh is a new body

The so called christains are merely struggling for worldly persuits, so they have neither the desire to look for joy ahead and nor the conviction to face trials for the test of their faith and conviction as did the early christains while subjected to Roman Empire and Jewish clergy for 300 years.The new christains of this age who have accepted the Promised Messiaha are braving the atrocities of muslim majority in Pakistan, Indonesia, Bangla Desh and Malayasia.It is a wonderful tale of courage and conviction in the name of God.

I especially like th 5th and 7th verses. We are promised tribulations, but tribulations in a context and with a point...
How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!
What more can He say than to you He hath said,
You, who unto Jesus for refuge have fled?
In every condition, in sickness, in health;
In poverty’s vale, or abounding in wealth;
At home and abroad, on the land, on the sea,
As thy days may demand, shall thy strength ever be.
Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God and will still give thee aid;
I’ll strengthen and help thee, and cause thee to stand
Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.
When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
The rivers of woe shall not thee overflow;
For I will be with thee, thy troubles to bless,
And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.
When through fiery trials thy pathways shall lie,
My grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply;
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.
Even down to old age all My people shall prove
My sovereign, eternal, unchangeable love;
And when hoary hairs shall their temples adorn,
Like lambs they shall still in My bosom be borne.
The soul that on Jesus has leaned for repose,
I will not, I will not desert to its foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I’ll never, no never, no never forsake.

If God values my soul more than mere gold, it can be concurred that gold has some value in His eye (you wouldn't say mere feces because feces have no value). I don't want to follow any God that is greedy for gold.
Bring on another one.

You are probably struggling as a Christian because a little thing called "reason and logic" is taking over your life. Your mind is telling you to abandon superstitious nonsense. It's time to listen.
