Some mediums famous ones say that when you die in the spirit world you can smoke eat drink normal things,if this is true why the same or other famous mediums say we have no bodies in the after life>If we have no bodies how can we do all these things!

There is no way to prove life after death because of the existence of clairvoyance.
Since parapsychology studies have proven that clairvoyance is real it sets up a simple logical problem.
If information gathered from a supposed after death intelligence is verifiable, then it could have been gathered by the medium's own subconscious using clairvoyance as well.
If information gathered from a supposed after death intelligence is unverifiable, then there is no proof it is true and not just made up by the medium's subconscious.
Personally I am undecided about whether their is life after death.

There is no soul sleep of the righteous. The bible clearly says:
2Co 5:8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. (ESV Translation)
Only the damned sleep in their graves.
1Co 15:51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
Those that have died in Christ now reside in heaven as spiritual beings. Since Christ, the second person of the Godhead, has always existed, the elect of God have been known to Him before Christ actually walked the earth. So anyone who has died since the world began exists in heaven or in the grave as described above.
The spiritual bodies of the righteous will result from the joining of their heavenly natures with their resurrected bodies at the second coming of Christ at the final judgment.
Those that are damned will awake from their sleep to be judged and join Satan in their separation from God in Hell.
2Th 1:9 They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,

I believe there is life after death. Short story....at death the spirit goes to heaven or hell. The bodies will be resurrected in the future; for believers that will be at the rapture, for unbelievers it will be at the Great White Throne judgment. Body and soul will be joined at these times. For believers, their bodies will be made new and perfect, and based on Jesus' example after His resurrection, they will eat & drink in heaven.
