I mean arent most conflicts based on religious disagreements?

Self righteous religion. When a person tries to be more righteous & make more rules & others don't go along with them. They criticize & judge others not as righteous as them. This is self righteousness and a critical spirit.
For example Osamah bin Ladan is a pious, self righteous person. Though he claims Islam (peace) he is the opposite of peace. He is sooo critical of others who don't go along with his idea of righteousness. It is just PRIDE.
With religious self righteousness comes a judgmental spirit and an excuse to harm others unworthy. So the self righteous person doesn't have peace, and also those he persecutes/ judges/ attacks. Condemnation.
There is therefore, now no condemnation, for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Any war you can name that was "Over Religion" had other factors at play that probably would have led to conflict anyway. The Greek City-States fought each other for centuries even though they were one people who often shared the same religious beliefs. War, like a belief in a Superior Being seems to be ingrained into Humans.

People will be able to find that out during the Tribulation period. The Christians will be gone, and all other religions will be outlawed. There will be a One World Religion established. I don't think people will like it any better. They'll probably wish for the "good old days." Today you have a choice. Choose wisely. In that day you won't be given a choice. ...well, actually you will. Jesus or the antichrist. Jesus will mean immediate death...eternal life with Him. Antichrist will mean immediate life....eternal life with him.

If you consider Communist Russia, an atheist state during the 20th century, and the ruthless atrocities committed by Stalin, its dictator then you could be forgiven for believing a dictatorship sucks but keeps the people in check.
By the way those of you who cite the Inquisition which happened roughly 500 years ago I say Communist Atheism only happened recently.

Well, Stalin and Hitler were complete atheists and they killed millions of people. It's not religion that differentiates people, but the misunderstanding of it. Religion has the goal of God consciousness, regardless of the religion. If you choose not to strive for God consciousness, fine. But peace is from within, and for many it comes FROM religion.
