The sense of hearing is the last thing to go in a dying person. Many who have been unconsious and recovered, later told how they were able to hear everything that was said.
So, whether your grandmother is unconscious or not, you can read to her, sing songs of salvation or invitation to her, pray for her. You may never know what is going on in her spirit and how she responds to God without words; but the human spirit is able to communicate with God's Spirit without words. It is difficult to answer your question, because you didn't tell us about where your grandmother stands spiritually.
If she is not a believer you could read some verses to her that have helped you become a believer. If she is a believer you can read verses to her from Revelation that talk about the beauty of heaven, Romans 8, Psalm 23 and 103. And of course you can ask God to guide you what to read.
My husband's grandmother had Alzheimers and one time when we visited her she was very restless. As my husband started reading from the Bible to her, we could see how much calmer she became.
My husband's mother accepted Jesus on her deathbed, when she was already on the respirator and couldn't talk anymore, but was still conscious. My husband read her a tract about how to be saved and asked her to squeeze his hand if she agreed to the prayer of asking for salvation at the end of the tract, ... and she squeezed his hand.
She still lived for several weeks after that and the medical staff said that she was a different person, from what they knew her as before.
So, don't give up hope, keep praying for her and with her.
May God comfort you during this painful time.

Intercessory prayer is not acceptable for her own salvation, You can ask God to let her wake up so she can pray. About the only thing you can do is pray that God will save her, But Your prayer alone will not save her. You say you are a new Christian, Friend I understand how you feel, I have been serving God for 37 yrs. & I lost my Dad, My mother, My father-in-law, a Nieace, My step dad, My wife, My brother-in-law my mother-in-law all my grand parents, & I just lost another brother-in-law 3 days ago. Let me add this on, Your grandmother is in a coma, God can still speak to that soul while she is in a coma, Only God will know if he did,

Are you saying that your grandmother never accepted Jesus as her Savior? If so, my prayer would be that the Lord give her another chance. Let her live so you can tell her about Him. I'll pray also. Read the Bible over her constantly. The Psalms are in the middle of the Bible. Read them aloud to her. Make sure your church is praying for her. May the Lord bless you.

If your grandmother is not a believer- she still can accept the Lord on her deathbed and be saved- I know a few that have-and it is awesome- pray that the Lord will speak directly to her heart- yes, have others intercede as well- share God's love and grace with her. If she is not conscious always, believe that she hears to you- Share that God so loved the world, that He gave his only son, whoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Share your conversion story with her. I know someone who shared his with his mom just before she died, and she was in a coma and he just took a step of faith and asked- "Mom, do you want to know Jesus- if you do squeeze my hand twice. She did- God can get through to anyone- keep praying!! Of course remember that God could heal your grandma as well- but if He chooses not too, know that even at the very last moment Jesus can save.

1. Pray for her!!!
2. Pray what you feel for her.
3. At this moment; I do not have any in mind; other than Psaslms 23.
4. Intercessory prayer may or may not be sufficient. It is God's call; not mine presently as to whether that is 'enough'.

I'm sorry about your grandmother.
Pray for her salvation. Pray with her, even if she is unconscious. Talk to her about God and salvation.
If you have a priest or pastor, ask them to visit with her.
Intercessory prayer is definitely acceptable for salvation. Ask the saints and Mary to pray for her. Ask family and friends to pray for her.

Next time she is lucid just tell her it is OK to let go. They prayer stuff will only make you feel better, not her, but what will matter is if you tell her that it is OK for her to leave now. I have heard countless stories of people telling their loved ones this as they lay dying and sometimes within hours or minutes it was over. You don't want to drag this thing out; it's no good for anyone. You can pray your brains out for weeks but nothing will work as well as telling her it is OK for her to just give it up.
Probably will be a lot cheaper, too, since most nursing homes make money by keeping the dead alive for as long as possible.

You certainly should be praying for your grandmother. Does she know Christ? If not, you need to be praying that she will open her heart to the Gospel before it is too late. No prayer that you pray can save her though. She has to hear the Gospel and call upon the Lord herself. Sit down with her and read the Gospel of John to her, especially chapter 3. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son" (John 3:16-18)

Believe in God's promise that when one family member is saved his whole household can be saved. As you are saved your whole family qualifies. Pray to the Lord Jesus Christ to reveal Himself to your grandmother that she can call on His name and be saved. Even if she is unable to speak belief in her heart will be sufficient. After you have prayed believe that your prayer is answered by thanking the Lord. May the peace of God be with you and your family at this time.
