Seems there's always a condition. If you push this issue hard enough, you'll end up with "God answers when he wants to answer... in his own time... sometimes the answer is no... sometimes the answer is not right now..." and so on. Yet they won't hesitate for a second to tell the family of a dying person that God is going to heal them. All you have to do is pray.

For every verse in the Bible that they throw out to give people hope, they have another on stand-by that's a condition to what they just told you. BUT! "God loves you unconditionally". Yeah right.

Friend God does answer prayers, But he will not answer anything that is not a benefit to us, Nor a silly prayer for a million dollars, & as far as the poverty people in Africa, You are not only looking at Africa, but any part of the world that is in poverty. Many wonder why the USA is not a poverty country, Because we were based on Christianity, & we stand with Israel, God said those who stand with Israel those is the nations that God will bless. Poverty also exist in the USA as any country, we have many Homeless people, But sometimes people is even fooled by homeless people, There was a man a few years ago that froze to death because he was homeless, Come to find out he had $54,000.00 in the bank. Now back to your question Yes God answers prayers if they are a benefit to us, & no he will not answer a foolish prayer & concerning the ones in Africa, That is part of the curse that God pronounce on this earth, But one day God will lift that curse. First People has to understand that Africa is the Capitil of the World for AIDS, , that in itself tells me a whole lot.

God does answer all prayers.

"No" is often the answer He gives.

It's because God is loving that he doesn't solve all the worlds problems.

Ezekiel 33:11 says: “As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live”

God could solve all the worlds problems by killing all the wicked people, but who are the wicked people? How wicked do you have to be to get whacked for being wicked? Have you ever done something that created hardship for someone else? Would you be included in the big whack?

I know I would.

I'm sure grateful for the grace of God that allowed me to live long enough to lay hold on God's grace by faith.

God allows evil and pain and suffering because of His great love for sinners.

Not because He's impotent and unable to do anything about it.

God does answer all prayers: in His timing, and in His way. We do not know His will until He reveals it to us. Also, not everything that we want is good for us. If a small child asked you for a firecracker and matches then would your answer be yes?

I cannot remember the book, chapter, and verse; however the Bible says that God's ways are above our ways.

We are living in a fallen world due to the sin of Adam and Eve. Jesus came as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins to break the hold of sin and death (death of our souls) so that we might have eternal salvation.

How God chooses to answer our prayers is completely up to Him, and we - as fallen sinners - cannot expect to manipulate God and make Him do as we demand.

I hope this makes sense - it's late and getting cold!

God answers all prayers, sometimes it's "yes", sometimes it's "no", sometimes it's "wait a little while"

But know this my friend, God also gave us all the tools we need to answer our own problems ... sometimes they are so obvious that we can't see it. Are people starving? Then feed them.

Praying for things that are outside of God's interest like winning the lottery is useless, the answer is no. Praying for things that are in God's plan, such as praying for wisdom or discretion or strength during trials, is usually answered with a "yes".

You don't understand prayer. We pray but it's not for things, or it shouldn't be.

All prayers are answered, but it doesn't mean they are answered the way you want or expect.

Prayer is a communication with God. We seek him through prayer. The suffering we experience, can be a good thing...in that it brings us closer to God.

People do not understand God's perspective. We do not have the ability to see things his way. We only see it from our own, but knowing we are sinful and flawed, we must also know that our view is sinful and flawed.

Prayer becomes powerful in it's ability to stregthen our faith, use what happens in life as a means to go deeper into that faith. It's all about God...

We are in different levels of maturity with our walk with Christ.

God will fix it in His time. I believe we are here to help each other out. It is the sins and crimes of leaders and people that they do not feed the poor, they have God given resources.

All prayers are answered, and oftentimes the answer is no or wait. We need to learn to pray for right things too. Not to pray selfish prayers. We need to pray God's will be done.

For example, many people prayed that Jesus did not have to be crucified...but Jesus was in the very center of what God was up to. Jesus was in the very center of God's will. : )

We get saved by the grace and mercy of God, but God is still calling us to be players in His unfolded plan. This life is a temporary assignment.

God knows all , if you pray for a million dollars that is covetness ( greed ) besides you would blow it or it will ruin your life . In the bible 1Peter 3:12 " For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil ". ( sin ) He will hear you when you beg for mercy and salvation through Jesus. Then he will provide through prayer . Other wise why should he listen to you when you don't trust and believe in him with all your soul, heart and strength ? Also , man is reaping what he has sowed . (sickness, starving, evil world etc..)

God does answer prayer. But like a parent sometimes the answer is NO.Is it fair will not to us but there is some things he is not going to interfere with, because sometimes it's at human hands. That's why he sent Jesus. That way he isn't a meanie like in the old testament.Jesus came with a propose and that was to save us from our selves and now we have to go through hell on earth. Then and only then will all be revealed.

God can see what we can not see, and He does not answer prayers asked in ignorance and imperfection which will harm us. If a woman prays for the Lord to lead a man she is infactuated with to marry her. Should he answer her prayers if He knows that man is a womanizer and will eventually abuse or kill her? Most of the times what we pray for is not what we need, and will only cause us more harm if we are not ready.
