It's just perception. I prayed and it came to pass - never mind all the times I prayed and it didn't. I prayed and I was saved - but the family next door prayed and the storm swept them away. Perception and interpretation.

Well, first and foremost it must be said that people usually make their own problems so what you say has much to do with the solution, of course.
I don't think, for me, that praying to God to fix everyday problems is the point of prayer. Prayer is to get one though the everyday problems, no matter the outcome. Prayer is to help show me the way, so that I always feel blessed, even when the outcome of a problem is not what I wanted.
Many times I have had doubts in my life. Many times I thought that my prayers were not answered. But prayer is not to gain things, prayer is to keep one righteous, whether one wins or loses.

There are times it may seem that way. I believe it is prayers being answered because when a solution comes after prayer I don't believe it is coincidence. Too many times I have struggled with a problem and tried to solve it, then when I finally asked for help it would come.

I usually pray for things that I have a hard time doing myself, and I usually pray for others that are in need.
Sometimes pouring sincere faith in your prayers would cause God to answer faster.
Believe it or not.... God's unlimited powers are at your finger tips, even if you didn't have hands or fingers, the spiritual phone is where the heart is.

No I have prayed for answers to problems in life and they just come, Prayers are never answered, when we stop perusing what the problem is, which in most cases is ourselves and just stop, pause then the answer comes or the money, why because our brain is capable of this, we our mind knows what to do in all situations, its just that what we want and what will happen is two different thing, and when we want it, true somethings we are not in control of but our minds are it is us but not us.

I can't remember the exact wording, but there is a saying which says: do what you've always done, and you'll get what you've always gotten. If you pray and receive a different, positive outcome, that speaks for itself. Don't deny the Power of God, and attribute His grace to your own ability.

Hello moomooco… :)
As in the case of my precious daughter..only God could have answered our prayers, for He healed her liver, (in two days) which had been severed in two due to a car accident..
Still another time I was praying for a car..(I had not told anyone that my car had stopped running)..I went to Church that following Sunday and went forward for prayer, when a sister in Christ came up to me and said: God told me you needed a car, here are the keys.. :)
There are so many other times that "only God knew" what I was praying for and He has not forsaken me yet.. :)
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

Many times, the answer I'm given is one that I'd never have thought of on my own.
Prayers are answered. God's been taking care of me for my whole lifetime.

Have you considered it possible that 'the answer' was there but after 'praying about it' God allowed you to see the answer?
