He does that all the time. Humans keep "slapping" him all the time, and he just turns the other cheek.
When pp say that God will do bad things to ppl if they turn agains him , this is not true.
SOMETIMES, not all the time, when bad things dont happen to ppl who turn away from God because God is there and made the bad things happen but because they have basically told God to get lost and so he did and they have lost the protection he offers.
But this is not the case with all bad things that happen, bad stuff happens to Christians aswell (different reasons)

considering the phrase "smite on the cheek" means to "insult", then yes, God is insulted all the time and has yet to invoke His wrath upon people.

Yes. We slap him all the time with our sin and irreverence. He loves us anyway.

Yes. He even gave his coat when we steal His tunic. He blessed us when we cursed Him. He gave us rain even we are sometimes evil. He forgave us when we crucify Him. He did not force Himself to us when we deny Him.
