Yes, I absolutely believe in the power of prayer. And yes, I also believe that God hears and answers all sincere prayers in the timeframe and manner that are best according to His infinite wisdom.

Prayer is a conversation with the Supreme. Prayer has therapeutic effect on us. Prayers r not always said for asking favors they can be said for appreciation coz u never what u have been missing until it arrives thus appreciate every little thing u have.. Prayer alone cannot help u have to put in hard work and to make it happen u have to pray.

I've had answered prayers all of my life. The company I worked for closed after 19 years of employment and God gave me my own business. My daughter was rushed to TX. Children's Hospital in a coma for diagnosis from another hospital and the Lord brought her out of it. My daughter needed a pancreas and kidney transplant and after many prayers she received them within a year of being on dialysis.
Some of my answered prayers are really personal and some I have even forgotten.
God answers all prayers. Sometimes He says "no."

Go ahead and post your prayer.....God always listens, but that does not mean your prayer will be fulfilled. Just like a parent, we do not always give in to the wishes of our kids...sometimes prayers appear to go unanswered, but in reality, for spiritual growth, your prayer requests did not get fulfilled.

I think "prayer" is for the benefit of the person doing the praying. What I mean is, prayer is a verbalization of problems, a way to sort through problems, and arrive at a solution.
It is a psychological way of coping with problems, not really a way to communicate with an imaginary, unproven, supernatural, all knowing, all powerful being in space.

Prayer is powerful. Perhaps too powerful for us to understand. All I know is that all prayer is answered but not always as WE think it should be or in OUR time frame. I am not sure where you are going with the website challenge...those who know our Lord do not have to test Him.

God "IF" we have no known sin in our lives DOES answer prayers, when Jesus for example the man by the pool that was healed did NOT ask Jesus to heal him, but God anwsers prayer in one of three ways, Yes, No, and i will when you get here with me, read that story below in John 5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep [market] a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time [in that case], he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

I think the power of prayer is that it helps believers convince themselves of what they believe in.
When you stand and examine prayer for what it is, it looks a bit degrading really.
