Yes, it depends on the upbringing and teaching you have received. It may all be error and you need to keep looking until you find the true God.

Yes it can be so. God is not a person, thing or being. God is not separate from us at all. No one will ever see God, if they expect to see any kind of separate entity. God is the whole of which every thing and every person, and every creature, and every plant, and every tree, and even every inanimate object is a part. God is consciousness, as we are all consciousness. God is energy, as we are all energy, God is Love as we are all Love. God is one, as we are all one. There is only one thing, and that one thing is all of us, and that one thing is also God. A good analogy would be like, if each one of us is a drop of water, God is the ocean. We are each just as much God, or a part of God, as that drop of water is the ocean, or part of the ocean. There is no separation between any of us and God, and there is no separation between any of us and each other. We are all one with each other and with God. We are what God is, only on a smaller scale. we create the same way God creates. All separation is an illusion. We are all worthy and special in Gods eyes, and even if he did have some kind of expectations of us, other than just being whoever and whatever we want to be, God sees us as we really are, and even if he did ever judge any one for any reason...which he never does or would....he wouldn't base any evaluation on the roles we play in this world, because he knows that the roles are not who or what we really are. To judge or condemn one of us would be the same as judging or condemning himself. Why in the world would he ever want to do that. To assume that any of us is unworthy, would require the assumption that God is capable of making any mistakes. He is not! every thing and every person is exactlly as it is supposed to be, at any given time. We grow and we change over time, but in God's eyes we are always perfect just as we are.!!!!! *sm*

I would like to think we dont know God as well as we like to think. The bible was written by man and with that comes all the errors that man encompasses. I believe that we dont have a clue of what God is like or how she/he operates or wants us to behave. I say look not to self proclaimed men of God but look inwards towards yourself and live how you yourself believe to be the right way.

no. God is God. he is the Creator and he controls all. although we can't clearly see what he is doing in our lives, he uses things like people and natural events to encourage or help us.
