The media has already changed society, by implying certain negative stereotypes, behaviors, and beliefs are acceptable. The media can also be used responsibly to reach many people for positive changes in the right hands. So the real question should be, what new methods will society create to change society even more for better or worse?

In 1980 homosexuality was scorned by society as a whole. Since then the media has shoved it down our throats to the point of acceptance by huge corporations that now cover gay partners as family.
The federal govt. attempted to amend The Constitution to declare what is a family. The liberal democrats and coward Republicans caved to the **** agenda.
Homosexuals are now portrayed all over TV as main characters.
Why has 3% of our population gained so much power? Because the media has subtly been eroding away the consciouses of American people.
That is how the media can changer the society.

Media has power over most of the people and has power through them over the government. It has changed it for the worse with false reports. They have bias views but hey it works...lol. It has changed it more than most can imagine.
The media is DANGEROUS in the way it can change peoples views even with lack of FACTS.They are part of the reason abortion and homosexuality is getting to be"less"abominable too many people. They can help change who will get elected when newspaper approve certain candidates.

I think the popular media has fostered a more judgmental society. People express their opinions based on limited or slanted coverage, judging, regardless of how well they really know the facts.
I think the media also fosters fear and negativity.
I almost never watch television news anymore.

As media is a common link between people; television shows, commercials, movies, music, and clever advertisements lead to a raising of people's conciousness if their minds are at the right level to recieve said understanding. You can help people with this if you are very empathetic, or know how to project your thoughts. This can also be used in a very destructive way, or selfish way. It's all how you look at it, and how strong your willpower and mind is, whether or not you can block others' thought's or impose your own onto them. Thoughts are contagious, use them wisely.

When the general population starts paying them to write there vision of what news is. As longs as the government , companies that hold government contracts and think tanks are paying the bill we will only see the vision of the government.
