My body is my temple!! Not some oversized building that waisted all that space to justify scocial, political, and personal aqusition of money through means of guilt, shame, double standards, and false hoods.
My body, my temple, has stained glass windows. You call the tattoos.
Am I a sinner if I do not subscribe to the beliefs that require atonement?
Do I care?
In a word? Nope!

How would God do it?

What authority would the person God chose to do it have to have?

Is there anyone on earth who has been given this authority by ordination and laying on of Hands by those in proper authority? If so...How were they given it?

If I wanted everyone to read the same thing, and I was God, I wouldn't give it to one region of the world and count on an accurate human translation to spread around the globe over a several thousand year period.

I would give my ‘word’ to everyone at the same time, written in their native language.

Is there a reason God didn’t do this?

Sooo I like my friend for a long time already, and almost everyday she would call me and we would talk for a couple of hours for the past 1.5 years. I like her a lot, but she can't date because she's muslim and im non-muslim. However, friday i texted her to see what's up and saturday i texted her that i missed her and she texted me back late late at night saying she just came back from her family's gathering and shes really tired and she said plz dont expect me to call everyday... Soo im feeling kinda hurt from that and I don't know how to respond. i just texted her back i know i understand. How do I go to approach this? I really like her and she tells me literally everything in her life and I would be willing to marry her and convert to islam if she really does like me (i have no religion as of now), but I'm afraid to tell her because everytime i tell a girl that i like her, it fails..

*edit she called back yesterday but i kinda didnt give her a chance to talk about it.....

There are many stories in the Islamic history where prophet Muhammed's companions did not hesitate to FIGHT their own brothers and fathers in the name of Islam.

Is it possible for a religion to dominate people minds for that extent?

As you don't know because CNN\FOX\etc. (+ newly added Warner Bros) are chanting big lies about us , at early ages of expansion of Christianity , Roman kings were opposed to it and were killing Christians , but in that times early Christian clerics flee to Persia and asked Parthian kings for support , present country of Armenia and north western provinces of Iran are where those Christians settled in to live in peace and safe from Roman kings, think what if kings of Iran didn't helped them ... what whould happen to Christianity ? ....

+ For those CIVILIZED-like creatures in the west :
You naughty guys ! read some history books and then violate Yahoo Answers Laws by your nonsense words against Persians !!! ok ?

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I commanded you.

Do you agree?...God is saying; do not change the words or wording. As in each stick's (or book's) wording should not be changed. Each scroll or book is revelation given through prophets and apostles?

Deut 4:2 and Rev 22:18-19 is a commandment to not change the words of the prophets?

If someone had told me it was possible a year ago I would have laughed in their face. Today, I know without a doubt it is entirely possible as well as fun and rewarding.

This is in reference the numerous amount of comments/questions/answers of people who say they are spiritual but not religious. Yet they are reffering to the connatative meaning of religious and not the denotative meaning. I mean usually when they say they are being spiritual, and you listen to what they believe and such, you find out that they are in fact a religious follower.

Some Christians believe that these are Moses and Elijah. I believe that Moses and Elijah can NOT be the two witnesses because the two witnesses are put to death in Rev 11:7. If Moses died and Elijah was raptured then they already have the spiritual bodies that we seek. Therefore Moses and Elijah can NOT be killed by Antichrist or anyone EVER.

Hbr 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

I do believe that the bible reveals the identity of the two witnesses to the careful reader. God anointed two characters for a special assignment in the Old Testament and there is no death recorded for them. One is pictured getting clean garments but this is a vision of a future event. These two have been alive and “hidden” awaiting their appointed time. I believe that God refers to this miracle as “the day of small things”.

I believe that the real temple God has been building is SPIRITIAL. If you look too hard, you’ll miss it. Tell me what you think?

all People, when he was describing how we should Unconditionally Love ALL People ?

Thank You in advance for all intelligent,
non-judgmental, non-harming, and most encouraging answers from everyone.

Also, just curious, is there a certain version of the Bible that you enjoy reading
The Love Chapter, which teaches us how to Love mankind, in ?

I enjoy every version, but must admit that my favorite version is the Amplified Bible.
It amplifies giving the greek and hebrew meanings of the bible. To me it is the next best thing to having and using a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible.

Thank You Everyone. Your encouraging answers are always most helpful.

Why are Christians automatically assumed (by atheists) to be irrational, illogical and mentally retarded?

2007-03-22 08:05:50 · 10 answers · asked by jinxmchue001 3

I believe in God.
Of course, there are some who don't.
And I have an open mind...I will listen to their thoughts.
I ask questions because I am curious.

But why do I feel attacked by the atheists when I ask a question about God?

Por favor amigos....why can't you just answer my questions without calling me a moron, unintelligent, or attacking my beliefs?

... Atheists, but they believe in something, or they are "spiritual atheists". Considering Atheists dont believe in God, consequently they dont believe in Creation, what do they believe? How can someone be "spiritual atheist"? This person doesnt believe in God, but believes in spirits?

By the way, I apologize for stereotyping Atheists in my questions. I didnt mean... However, some of the questions stereotype Christians too. I believe in Jesus, but I am not the type of Christian that carry the Bible everywhere. And although I am not one of the fanatic ones, I can feel ofended with some questions.

My religion is Spiritism.
