There are many stories in the Islamic history where prophet Muhammed's companions did not hesitate to FIGHT their own brothers and fathers in the name of Islam.

Is it possible for a religion to dominate people minds for that extent?

Why not? American fathers and sons fought each other in the US Civil War, and many people find religion to be even more important than the structure of the US government...

Christians have fought each other as well. It's human nature. We all want to be right. That's why God tells us to put aside our human nature and be Christ like.

Kind and thoughtful. Full of Peace! Willing to suffer for even those who hate us.

Yes.

Worse is that modern muslims do not hesitate to EXECUTE their own wives and daughters if they're raped or otherwise "sin" sexually (forced or not).

They are still willing to kill their own family members for blasphemy (it's a crime punishable by death in several middle eastern countries) and have little remorse or hesitation for doing allah's will.

Yes it is very possible for religion (any religion) to dominate people's minds to that extent... there are christians who murder their own family in the name of god (such as if the family member admits being gay or with the case of the woman who cut off her baby's arms because god told her to) and openly murder abortion doctors, homosexuals, etc.

"Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon earth. I have come to bring not peace but the sword. For I have come to set a man 'against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one's enemies will be those of his household'". (Matthew 10:34-36 NAB)

These are Jesus's words. Hope that helps.
