if we all neglected all of our temptations, then we'd all die of boredom. I was tempted to answer your question just now, should i have avoided it? people are tempted to ask each other out, without that how would anyone get married? Use your REASON to decide which temptations are good and which are trouble. If you're smart, it isn't hard.

neither - temptation is to be overcome. You cannot "neglect" temptation it has to be dealt with because it will come at times. We cannot "embrace" it as a friend because it exists to destroy our relationship with God, so it is an enemy. It is there to teach us to be overcomers in this life. It is like spiritual "bar-bells" - we learn strength, endurance. We learn to exercise authority over the enemy of our soul.

Temptation is simply an attachment to something you think will bring you pleasure... weigh the options, look at the real nature of the item, understand it actually ultimately brings some level of suffering if you're too attached to it and then make your choice from there. Nobody, in my neckadawoods, said you have to give up everything to attain enlightenment...

I embrace the kind of temptation with soft skin.

Temptation is something Satin is the 'master' of ruling over. He gets into your mind and tells you it's OK to do this and it's OK to do that. You can either listen to him or listen to the little voice in your head, your soul, and be spared Satin's trap. If you call out to Him, God will save you.

Well, temptation usually implies wanting to do something you know you shouldn't therefore it should be resisted.
Otherwise its motivation.
