It does, and it was especially helpful while I was growing up. I came from an abusive, dysfunctional family, and didn't really have very many people I could rely on. But I went to church, usually alone, and I felt that I could pray there and seek answers for the situations that bothered me. I would often enter church feeling angry, troubled, or depressed, and would leave feeling at peace. Also, when I think my life's rough, I think about Christ and His sacrifice, and suddenly, my earthly problems pale in comparison. In God, I found someone to tell my troubles to. I also feel very thankful for my life, and with religion, I not only have a way to give thanks, but somebody to address those thanks to.

Yes. Without it I'd be in jail or rehab. I soooo understand how Britney Spears got to extreme she has. I think if she had stuck to her original roots, she'd be in a much better situation. I have a lot of different kinds of friends, and some of them are really naughty. I'm glad for my faith, because I can see how tempting it would be to just run around without a care in the world and do whatever I wanted when I wanted and not have any conviction. Yes, always have it in some form. There's got to be some rules and balance in life. Good question!

Absolutely! Witchcraft, as I practice it (it is practiced differently by every Witch), is all about balance: spiritual and mundane, dark and light, passive and agressive, masculine and feminine energies, etc. Balance helps you lead a fulfilling life without letting people take advantage of you or you being too cold to help them. WHile no one is perfectly balanced all the time, we can surely try our hardest. (On a side note, what I call Witchcraft is also known as Wicca and some people feel these 2 things are seperate things, but remember that you can call yourself whatever you want, just be respectful.)

My religion helps me to find balance in my life by reminding that their is more to life then working. It reminds me to see all the little things that make life worth living and how to take time out for myself instead of running around like chicken with it's head cut off all the time.

I used to be a person that did not like to follow religion much, but I have changed.
I have adopted some of the priciples of Buddhism and find it has helped me think more clearly and direct my life better.I like to go to the temple and say my prayers and feel better that life wil be better for me and it has changed my life greatly.
When you feel no one understandsyou then you turn to the person who can help you and it works so nicely.
I have straightene dout a few serious things in my life as a result of adopting some principles in life. I made a 'WEALTH VASE" for myself following the buddhist method and I put all the things in it that I want out of life and sealed it and put it in the closet. Now I am getting started on the items I put in the vase and started on improving my life.
I can ship you one for $100. They really work.

I didnt seek it out because I needed something to help me, although I did, I just didnt know it at the time. God found me. I need Him more then anything now, as I realize whta he has done for me. He is my everything. I dont know if I would call it balance though, that sounds kinda like I was looking to believe something, just to do it. And that wasnt the case.

Absolutely. The love of God in my life give a sense of security and His wisdom gives me an honest rule to make decisions about things and if I'm off balance about something the Holy Sprit is sure to tell me. (of course I have to listen, too!)

Personally, religion has never done a thing for me but the Bible and being born again has done everything for me.
Let's face it religion is just man's facade for control of other men while using the name of God and even using verses in the Bible. I have no use for it! I don't want to be controlled by some other mere man holding me over the fires of hell so that I'll conform to what he wants when he wants it. Religions have a terrible history of once it gains a foothold of power in a country to turn against its people with malevolence unmatched of any other tyrant in history. Look at Europe where under the name of God the Catholic Church murdered millions of people in night attacks. Neighbor against neighbor - one Catholic and the other not.
I think my faith in the word of God helps prioritize my personal life to where things that were seemingly important aren't real important anymore. Back when I was younger I was big into sports and the pro teams but now I just realize it's all about money so I don't even keep up with it anymore. Once you have your priorities right then you can find balance but you can't find it all the way here in this world.
Balance is also pictured as the scales of justice on the courthouse downtown but you can't find justice today. Too many people get away with too many evil things today. That's why there's very little respect (I'm talking actual respect and not practical respect - people still don't want to go to jail but they privately don't have much respect for the decisions being made in the courts and the sentences - especially the juvenile courts - they're a joke) for the law today - too many people getting away with criminal behaviour and everyone just is suppose to look the other way.
So balance is a personal thing today - not a public and yet what God tells us to do in His word is the very essence of balance. As a matter of fact that's one of the tell tale signs of God - a balanced retribution especially for wrongdoing.
Exo 21:24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
Exo 21:25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
Accidental or purposefully done - no difference. Hint: this stops a lot of "accidents" from happening.
If a man steals from another then . . .
Exo 22:1 If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
Exo 22:2 If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.
Exo 22:3 If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
Exo 22:4 If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ***, or sheep; he shall restore double.
Exo 22:5 If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man's field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.
Exo 22:6 If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
Exo 22:7 If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, let him pay double.
Just think if these rules were in actual effect. How many thieves would you think we'd have? But today we're surrounded by them. You read and hear about them every day and yet how many of them have to pay back double? If they had to pay back double how many thieves do you think that we would have? How many Enron's would we have? None!
So balance is a thing that can only be attained personally and not socially because it doesn't exist in the public realm today. But where else can we go?
Some would say to Islam but the punishments for stealing are so overboard that it's a giveaway that it can't be from God. I mean, cutting off someones hand for stealing a cookie? or a screwdriver? How's that equitable and balanced? and how many Muslims do you see missing a hand? Are you telling me that they never stole anything? A religion that can't practice what is written plainly in their so-called Holy Book isn't worth the paper in the bathroom. That stuff is for the evil men who want to be in control who never will sit in judgment for the wicked things that they do or their families do! I know a faker when I see one operate.
That's not balance! Therefore it's not of God. Oh, I know they'll answer me by killing me - that's real love - sure. That's why their countries are full of illiterate people who would never intellectually challenge any of the religious brain washers in charge. They don't dare! I guess that's what we have to look forward to here in America because they're here and they don't have to pay taxes like the Americans do.
So, again balance nowadays can only be a personal thing but it has to be tempered with priorities that you'll find in the word of God.

Absolutely! Having the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, abiding in me, brings complete harmony and God's favor. Everything now works together for my good because I love God and I do what He has called me to do.
