And why would he need a whole day to look at it?

If he can listen to billions of simultanious prayers and decypher all the gobbledy-goo that christians throw at him, shouldn't he be able to just instantly be aware of how good it was?

Couldn't he just, you know, blink it into existence all at once?

this question especially for those that argue that 'god days' don't equal 'human days' in the Genesis myth or something.

Ether 15:2 says "there had been slain 2 million of his mighty men, *and also their wives and children". This makes the population of the Jeridites between 4-6 million people. Joseph Smith himself declared that the Jaradites lived in the Americas more than a thousand years, and covered the continent from sea to sea, with towns and cities. (Teachings of Joseph Smith, p.267) They had vast culture, and a broad infrastructure to sustain the millions of lives that settled here. But, with all of the battles, and weapons used, there has never been found even a small shred of their language, or archeology found on this continent.

Mosiah 9:9 says we began to till the ground, yea even with all manner of seeds, with seeds of corn, and of wheat, and of barley, and with neas, and with sheum, and with seeds of all manner of fruits... However, none of these but corn are native to that region.

The bible is rife with ignorance. Bats referred to as birds, the four corners of the earth, slavery regulated and not decried, women set as lower than men, etc.

Why didn't god just come out and give the truth? Isn't the bible full of instances where he directly spoke to prophets and imparted his will?

Would the Israelites have been completely unable to handle the horrifying truth that the world is round and bats are seperate from birds? Wouldn't it have been more of a testament to us today that the Hebrews were thousands of years ahead of their time scientifically and morally.... instead of being basically just like their neighbors except in which god they followed?

Or did god not care to think that far ahead?

It has been quite a while since I've dreamed I was flying, but last night was REALLY good! Strange though: Dreamed I was in a prison, and floating/flying around but had no desire to leave.

I believe God is every where & someone made fun of me saying "Is God also in your heart ?" I said YES, then she asked me is he in your tummy ? I said Yes & then she said is he making potty there or is he in your potty as well ?

I know God is everywhere & in my heart , eyes & lungs ....... but not in my potty ..... Am I wrong ?

Seems to me that anyone with half a brain would have dropped the Bible like a hot potato and not messed with it at all if he believed it was corrupt. Corrupt to me is like rotten meat.

So from the archives it looks like it's been a problem child for a while, and now it's been lobbed into S&C.

I figured some of you fine people might have been around for long enough to know all the guts and gore of the issue. Really, I'm not a bad person, I just can't resist a pun, even if it might place me on the horns of a dilemna...I've tried to stop, I'm just not cape-able...see? If such a thing exists. I think it’s a bit of a raw deal actually. Some Christians say you choose your own hell in not following god, but why would I want to choose eternal punishment, for being a good person? I also think its wrong to use god for just a ticket into heaven, I imagine a huge percent of Christians say they believe just for that reason, and for fear of the unknown. I’m just intrigued to know what I will be exactly punished for? I’m not perfect but then again who is!? Maybe I’m in the place I should be, my honesty is my religion.

They are threatening people and insulting them with the purpose of driving them crazy. They can also fire caustic substances at you, that burn your eyes and throat.
