Jesus was a Bengali (the people from Bengal (Eastern part of India) are famous for being lazy non-enterprising communists with the dominant mother as the head of the house)
Proof that he was bengali man :
(1) He never worked for a living
(2) He lived with his parents till he was past his 30's
(3) He worshipped his Mother Dear & sincerly believed that she was a virgin

No offense - but as far as i know the bible don't mention India.
I am Indonesian, and i have to say that the bible doesn't mention anything about Indonesia either.
The bible only mention those country that strongly related to the Gosphel only such as the european coutries (Romans, greek, etc) and United states.
So not that India is not important - but as far the bible prophecy goes, India (and so is Indonesia) doesn't have a big impact to what is about to come.

I think Bible is about people and not places. In ancient times the political ideologies were totally different . India at that time may be existent from Persia to Vietnam(Indian sub continent). The existence of America , Australia was not known.
So it is a foolish question to ask.
About the great wise eastern people , some reference will be there in old testaments.
Bible is a collection of works by different people at different points of time , which may not refer to all places and its people.
