Some Christians believe that these are Moses and Elijah. I believe that Moses and Elijah can NOT be the two witnesses because the two witnesses are put to death in Rev 11:7. If Moses died and Elijah was raptured then they already have the spiritual bodies that we seek. Therefore Moses and Elijah can NOT be killed by Antichrist or anyone EVER.

Hbr 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

I do believe that the bible reveals the identity of the two witnesses to the careful reader. God anointed two characters for a special assignment in the Old Testament and there is no death recorded for them. One is pictured getting clean garments but this is a vision of a future event. These two have been alive and “hidden” awaiting their appointed time. I believe that God refers to this miracle as “the day of small things”.

I believe that the real temple God has been building is SPIRITIAL. If you look too hard, you’ll miss it. Tell me what you think?

I really don't know who they are, but I'd like to find out hehe. There are many things to study about revelations, but if you aren't careful you will get caught up in the events and not who is causing them. I think you have to take your time in the study of such things.

The temple is a literal place, the jews will be making sacrifices and the AC will defile it physically. How can the AC defile something that is in each person? He's not THAT powerful, so it must be a place. In revelations the courtyard is left out of the measurements of the temple, that will have something to do with it. I have a few ideas, but I'd rather not say so others aren't led astray by my guessing.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to servant JOHN, who testifies to everything he saw- that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Rev 1: 1-2
According to the Bible the only one who was chosen to view the prophecy is a disciple named John. Not John the baptist, because he was beheaded. There are no other witnesses only Johns account. Revelations talks about the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. This takes place after Armageddon and the the third coming of Christ, after he has abolished all wickedness from the world. This is when those that remain faithful to him will be given undying bodies and will enter the new Heaven on earth. "There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them Light. And they will Reign for ever and ever. Rev 22 : 5

I believe God will grant the powers given to the Spirits of Moses/Elijah to the two witnesses. They are to humans like you or I, their death is written in scripture. Their bodies will lay in the street 42 hours then the Lord comes. Those who are looking into the right light will not miss it, noway!

Right now, no one but God knows who they will be. Perhaps even when they arrive, we still won't know who they are. Ultimately, it doesn't matter who they are. What matters is their message and what happens to them.
