There are no urinals in the women's bathroom. Is it ok to go in the men's bathroom if we prefer to use a urinal? I feel that it is discrimination to say that women can not go to the men's bathroom because we should have just as much right to use a urinal as they do.

Would most men have a problem with me going in the men's bathroom to use the urinals? I would definately have a problem with men coming into the women's bathroom, but that is a totally different issue because they have no reason to be in our bathroom. They have everythig we have AND MORE.

Today I was at a resturant eating and at a table in front of me was this very young girl (probably 5 or 6 years old). She turned around put her fingers in the shape of a gun and made gun noises.

I am somebody who is not bothered by things like this but I got to thinking, that there are some people who might really get upset by that. I am just wondering what others would do.

I went to a party and got invited to a new year's party. When the husband saw the wife was inviting me, he eye-brows got frown and he immediately kept on walking from the place. I am not at all close to the wife. I got a very cold reception from the last new year's party at his place. That one was a pot-luck [and the organizer invited us]. Normally he himself talks with me if he sees me elsewhere. But he ignored me last couple of times when I went to his house. I missed one of his parties and I did not let him know. He was not happy. What should I do this time? I know I will see some of my other friends there. But it is just insulting to go to someone's place and get a cold reception.

I might be getting a job at Wal-Mart soon and I was wondering what their "dress code" type thing is. I'm going shopping Friday and want to try to see if I can pick anything up. I applied for a cashier job so what would they typically be required to wear? Oh and what shoes? I'm 17 so I want come decently cute shoes. lol

If you work there tips are also welcome.

Thanks:]

During a grab bag with friends, I had to open up a gift in front of them, which embarrassed me a little. Ended up getting the one I brought. Once the group realized, they all felt bad and simultaneously went "Awww". Since the attention was all on me, I tried to back away from the group (and attention), and slightly lifted my shoulders and lowered my head. I quietly said it was ok that I got my own gift. Felt embarrassed from the attention and was blushing. Someone in the group stepped forward and traded gifts with me. The next day, he was talking to me (about something unrelated) and I was very soft-spoken while answering. He started smiling a lot when asking me to repeat myself.

Why did he start grinning? Do you think he was making fun of me?

As soon as I came into work today. My manager came into my office asking about a missing gift card. This is what happened: Friday she picked up the mail at the post office and gave it all to me. She said that she opened one of the envelopes and there were 2 gift cards there. Well I usually sort the mail in our office and that envelope didnt have my name on it so I just taped it closed (as i stated SHE had opened it). And put it in the box it belonged in. Now she thinks since I was the only one at the office that day, and I was the only 1 at work that day that I MUST have taken it. Ive been working here for 3 years!!! What would you do if you were in my situation?

boyfriend to daughter. doesn't matter if casual visit or holiday meal with lots of people. daughter seems to think he just has alot of gas from an akaline body. I find it discusting, rude and very childish as he apparently has less control of his bodily functions than a 5 year old. He knows that I don't like it but continues. May as well throw in disrepectful. Sign me frustrated.

I asked a question earlier about my niece and nephew being disrespectful and rude, and many of you answered that I should tell my sister, their mother, to do something about it.

How do I go about doing that in a way that won't cause discord amongst the family?

O.k. here's the scoop, give or take, some truth here and there. I was at the grocery store, the clerk, appeared to be acting passive-aggressively towards me. I swear, i heard him swear at me under his breath. He finally 'helped' me, after his passive-aggressive monalougue and walked me to where I needed to go...as I turned to leave...he mutttered something else, under his breath. To which I replied:

"Thank You, in a passive-aggresive sorta way"....

Was this wrong to say, after all he fired first....? What and why and how could of I done it any differently? I needed the stuff, so I couldn't leave, makeing a scene would of escalated the situation, yet I'm also tired of turning the other cheek.

Considering what I went thru and the emotion involved I believe I stood up for myself, very diplomatically. Anyone else....Realize I may report you for no reason, I am still seething at the mouth! Lol???.....!!!?????

No, really, I'm fine now; no need to call anyone.

My sister's kids are in 6th and 4th grade. They really wanted iPods for xmas, and my sister is a single parent with not a lot of $, so I bought them iPod nanos, thinking they'd really like them. They did not say "thanks" and the 6th grader berated me for not giving it to her before xmas, so she would have had something to do in the car on the way to my house.
Next they went skating on the pond in my backyard, tracked snow all over the house, sat their sopping wet selves down on my new leather furniture and removed the DVD my hubby and I were watching from the DVD player because they wanted to watch something else. I asked them to either change clothes or sit on the floor so they didn't ruin my furniture, they just talk back to me, it turned to an argument.
After that, I find my nephew putting my boots on to go back outside. I insisted he wear his own boots, he insisted on wearing mine! More arguing. Should I lighten up, or am I right in thinking they are so disrespectful to me?

This annoys the **** out of me and it is to the point to where I may stop going to her house for dinner. We usually have Thanksgiving and Christmas at my aunt's house, and everybody is responsible for bringing some sort of dish or contributing to the dinner. The family loves my potato salad so I always bring that along with napkins, plates, plastic ware, ice and beverages. Sometimes I will buy a ham and ask my aunt to cook it or cook it myself.

For Thanksgiving I brought a ham and they didn't like it because it was a "cheap" picnic ham. I personally like picnic ham. That's what I was raised on. They claim "cheap" hams are too salty. Whenever I buy soda I know it has to be name brand otherwise they'll talk about that. The sad thing is some of the off-brand sodas taste like the name brand sodas. My aunt prefers Vanity Fair napkins so she expects me to spend the money on those. I think a napkin is a napkin, especially if you're not having anything fancy.

Personally that's never happened to me as far as I know of. But really this is one of the many reasons why I hate "commericalized" Christmas. The giver gives from the heart and the receiver is suppose to be a "grateful" receiver. So what if you received a lump of coal this year? Throw that bad puppy in the fire place with your logs! ( ^ _ ^ ) More heat for you!

I've heard that they get really upset and will be rude to you if you don't speak it, I honestly can't speak a word of French without making some major mistakes. If someone came to my country for a vacation I wouldn't expect them to learn a new language just to visit. I also wouldn't become angry if people in another country didn't speak English...I just don't understand what the big deal is.

My husbands aunt who never gives me presents gave me one this year. I really don't care for presents because growing up we never celebrated christmas. I waited and opened it and it was a big tin of cookies?? I told my daughter,"Hey look at what YOU got and she jumped up and down and said cookies!!" It was so cute she was walking around telling everybody Santa said they can have cookies..

Anyhow this woman never liked me before I was married she was very mean to me even went as far as to pushing me once.
Now that I'm married to her nephew I don't care for the woman I got tired of her bullying me so I said finally," OK I'll give you a reason to be upset now" So I fired back when she would say stuff I don't aknowledge her presence (she used to ignore me when I was just getting to know the family)
So anyhow that present just annoyed me!! but then again everything about her annoys me
She's trying very hard to be nice I can't Stand it.

My husband is a Jehovah’s Witness and they do not celebrate birthdays or holidays. I informed my immediate family of this prior to us getting married. We have been married for almost 3 ½ years and my family still asks the same question over and over and I am sick of it. They know other people of this religion and they respect them but for some odd reason they want to pick at my husband. This is especially a problem with my aunts and my mother. It’s almost like I hate for the major holidays to roll around because I know they’re going to ask if he’s coming to dinner or why he didn’t come to dinner. They call me way in advance to ask whether or not he’ll be attending and it’s only to meddle.

My honey has pretty short hair and she constantly gets questions like why do you want to have hair like a man? She also gets snide remarks like don't you want to look like a woman. Close relatives have even made remarks like that to her. She loves her short hair and has told me that it will remain short as long as her heart still beats. I love it and think she looks great. Without getting downright nasty how does she shut these inconsiderates up?

Shouldn't this be allowed to be discussed? It makes people angry, but if we don't talk about it, no one understands, no one benefits.

Was i being an jerk?
twouys came to the gym with their sister, girlfriend(of the one guy)They aren't particularly fond of me because of tension i've had with her(she's persian so it's a different culture)and various incidents. They were in one section working out and i basically stayed near them in that section and glanced at them from time to time and i wouldn't venture too much out of there.Eventually the guy looked at me when my back was turned.Do you think they were annoyed?I don't take crap from anyone although i wasn't trying to start anything i stayed steadfast in the areain.(i continued to work out,but kept my eye on them as well).I didn't go anywhere near the girl though. She looked like she may have wanted to talk but i just ignored her.But anyway, about the two guys, why were they giving me those vibes?

My sister every year asks me, what my family would like and every year I tell her. There is Just me and my fiance and my son. Just three of us. Well anyways every year she goes to go to the dollar store and sends us the most cheapest things. Its hurts me that she does this to me, espically since I am family. I spend a abundance of money on gifts for her family which constists of 2 adults and 4 children. I am get even more upset when I call and confirm all the wonderful expensive things they have gotten themselves, but every year we are not being thought of. What should I do? Should I say something? Very Hurt in Mass.
