"Am I the only one who thinks rap and beat boxing is talentless crap ?"

Shouldn't this be allowed to be discussed? It makes people angry, but if we don't talk about it, no one understands, no one benefits.

It was a really biased question that I would've loved to discuss. Namely that without rhythm, rock music wouldn't be music. However oddly enough, Rap music can exist without harmony. So Rap music is fundamentally more basic music than anything in the Rock Genre.

i dont think that the question should have been removed but someone probably reported it or else someone gave an angry reply that got out of hand, etc. everyone has a right to their opinion and at the same time, has the right to disagree with someone elses opinion.

Well, let's talk about it then. Some of it is great, and some of it is kinda lame--just like every other musical genre. I don't think you can lump rap and beat boxing together, but that's another entry.

I think perhaps it was removed because there were enough complaints about the effect on the community this kind of questions has had before. It may be nothing more than that. I hope it was just accidentally removed, or the asker removed it.

It was probably removed because of the bias way it was stated. Perhaps "What do you think about rap music?" as the main question, and the asker's opinion on it in the additional details would've been better.

No, I think most of it is talentless crap too.

As for your question, I believe that if it was posted in the rap section then that would be a good reason why it was deleted. If enough people report it then it will be deleted.

Maybe it's the "crap" word. Does this belong in "Etiquette" or in music? Here's my take on music, sound, or noise...

"Sound is a fascinating phenomenon. When something vibrates in the atmosphere, it moves the air particles around it. Those air particles in turn move the air particles around them, carrying the pulse of the vibration through the air. Our ears pick up these fluctuations in air pressure and translate them into electrical signals the brain can process."

Beauty is in the eye or "ear" of the beholder.

not at all, i takes a lot of talent to be a good rapper. it is very difficult to make it sound good, make sense, ryme etc.

also, people who say it is crap are obviously not thinking into it enough. when they say it is crap they are refering to rap music in general being just bad music but how can they say that. their opinion is only one opinion out of many others so what sounds good to one person may not sound good to another. it is an opinion on what music sounds good so there is no yes or no answer to your question because everyone's opinion differs.

It is a strong opinion about a particular genre of music. I think that is fair and open for discussion.

Rap is not music it is crap... I think if everyone listened to classical music like Mozarts Lacrimosa(check it out) people would act differently

Yahoo might not have been the one to remove it. It may have been deleted by the asker. Or a few people may have reported it, and it just got removed...it's one of the wonders of the world.

I also feel its talentless crap.

Furthermore, rap is not music, it's noise pollution.
