Today I was at a resturant eating and at a table in front of me was this very young girl (probably 5 or 6 years old). She turned around put her fingers in the shape of a gun and made gun noises.

I am somebody who is not bothered by things like this but I got to thinking, that there are some people who might really get upset by that. I am just wondering what others would do.

To the illiterate people saying get over it: As i stated in the question this incident did not bother me, I just wanted to know if it would bother you.

no this doesn't bother me but we now have schools here in the east with a zero tolerance policy. we have had a few children expelled because of an incident almost exactly like you've described

There is nothing you can do because that is not your spawn. Honestly, that wouldnt bother me half as bad as her turning around. I cant stand for a kid to be climbing all over a booth or table.

She's only a kid, and hasn't really been around long enough to form any opinions, whe's acting out something she saw somewhere.

If this turns you off, maybe you should really try to unwind a little, there are alot more serious things to have problem with.

So as not to make a scene, I would casually get up ,go to the cashier and ask for the manager, repeat to him what you have said here and just add that it is distracting and ask if perhaps he could go and tell the adult she is with that the little girl in behaving inappropriately.....This is now out of your hands and in the managers hands. If he doesn't handle the situation properly, do not go back to that restaurant....

People get upset over anything and everything. She is a kid and kids do that kind of stuff.

I would have given her a disapproving look and continue eating, not making eye contact again.

Pretend I was shot, roll and close my eyes and stick out my tongue.
Lighten up. She was just a kid.
Somebody who would get upset about that is wound too tight.

I love playing "dead", so I might act out a real cheesy death sceane; if they resturant wasn't stuffy.

I would have told the kid to sit down to start with.I don't care if I offend the ignorant parent. When I go to a resteraunt , I tell the person seating me not to put me next to children.I don't have any and I didn't go there to put up with some one elses.
