I might be getting a job at Wal-Mart soon and I was wondering what their "dress code" type thing is. I'm going shopping Friday and want to try to see if I can pick anything up. I applied for a cashier job so what would they typically be required to wear? Oh and what shoes? I'm 17 so I want come decently cute shoes. lol
If you work there tips are also welcome.

Wal-Mart employees wear khaki or tan pants and a dark blue shirt. The shirt does not have to be a polo shirt - you can wear a t-shirt or a dressy shirt. It just has to be dark blue. Once you are hired you can order polo shirts and t-shirts via the employee website and they are priced reasonably. You can wear what ever shoes you like. But just as one of the posters have said, be sure to wear comfortable shoes. You will be on your feet all day. Good luck with your new job.

I worked at walmart a few years ago. The uniform was basically any decent looking pants but not jeans (except for lawn and garden workers) and no logo t-shirts.
I think the dress code varies from store to store. When you have your interview, ask about the dress code.

Dress code varies by store. The one I go to they wear Khaki's and red or navy polo's Shoes will need to be chosen with comfort in mind because you are going to be on your feet all day. No one that works at Walmart receives tips.

I think they wear khaki or black pants and blue tops with those vest. Regardless of that, make sure you buy some shoes that are comfortable! Unless you got a man at home who is gonna rub those feet every night, its not worth it to wear cute shoes.

Hey! Go to the store and look at what they are wearing. Then do the same. Don't worry about fashoin and cute, wear shoes that will feel good for you whole shift! Remember look good, but feel good to. With a big smile no one will be looking at your clothes. Enjoy your job!

Go into the store and see what the cashiers are wearing. Thats what you'll wear when you get the job.

I always see them wear tan khaki pants. I kinda forget the top?? How about some cute ballet looking slip on shoes? Those are all the rage.
