He kept calling me by my first name at the interview and now that I am hired I dont think if it is good too call him by his given name as well. What should I do or how can I ask him if he would like to call him by that name?

people calling me stupid! there is this one boy at my school who calls me dumb [while laughing, but he is NOT joking. he thinks its just the most hilarious thing in the world.] on a regular basis. i go to a private school which i just got into last year. that is no small feat, trust me. what can i say that will make him shut the he*l up!?

I recently went to a pizza place to eat. My sister and I went. If you have to seat yourself, go to the counter and order plus pay your bill and then go back and pick your food up do you think you should be obligated to tip? We even had to clear our own table off. I work in retail and wait on customers all day. If I go out I want to be seated, give my order at the table, receive my food from the waiter/waitress and let them clear my table. Am I being unreasonable? What would you do in this situation?

has anyone ever done that thing where you point your face towards the floor and see how far you can let your spit drop before sucking it back up.If you get a good one it usually flips back up on the end of your nose,or in rare cases,in your eye.

I am trying to find what a complete place setting is considered. I have Royal China Blue Willow Ware. I would like to know what pieces I need to have a complete place setting. Obviously I need a dinner plate, but I have not been able to find a list of all of the blue willow ware manufactured by Royal China. Thanks for any help you can give.

I have a 1 year old daughter who I dont want breathing cigarette smoke. So when I see someone smoking right at the door of a restaurant of in most case Walmart, I am forced to wait until they are done smoking and THEN go inside.

In the past I would say something to0 them Like can you please not smoke at the door, I dont want my daughter breathing tobacco smoke.

Speaking up about this almost got me in a punching match with this guy one time.

Whenever i speak up (no mater how I say it) people seem to get real angry. Personal,y i thin its because they know they are doing something wrong and they are embarrassed.

So tell me, how would YOU deal with this problem? Assuming you don't already smoke in front of kids.

My great-grandfather passed away today. His funeral will be Tuesday or Wednesday and I'm just wondering what to do. I am going to take flowers and a card to my great-grandmother, but I don't know if I should bring flowers or something just to show my respects to his immediate family. I'm sure the family will all get together afterwards. Any suggestions? Thank you!

The reality is we all pass judgement on others(even though we aren't supposed to)hence calculating a period in time when an individual has stopped growing emotionally,mentally or scholastically often comes to mind in our personal and proffesional relations with others.

I'm 23 and invited to my cousins for thanksgiving, he always has me sleep on a box like sofa with an open door, everyone walks by and stares at me.
Then his wifes family i dont get along with, their rude and drink too much.
I prefer to have thanksgiving dinner, take sightseeing alone, then sleep in my hotel and leave in the morning,
is this ok?
I told my cousin my plans, he was hysterical and insisted i sleep at his house, he forced me for one hour on the phone that i must sleep at his house, i explained how uncomfortable it is, he says its only one night.
i persisted i didnt want to, he hung up the phone on me,
i called him back and in a low voice he said go stay at the hotel.
im also driving 5 hours.
should i cancel all together since hes so rude?

I work in an advertising agency and while I love what I do, the agency itself is really bad. I have acquaintances in other agencies in town. What's the best way to drop the hint that I'm looking to move to another agency, without risking my current job?

There is one agency in particluar I'm interested in, and I see the Senior Creative Director on occasion (we went to school together.) Once in a while we have lunch or coffee.

I clean rooms and I have worked there for about a month and a half. I have 2 supervisors, one on the weekends and one all week. All week long I don't get a single tip (along with the other housekeepers) but when the other supervisor works, suddenly there are tips in the rooms. I have told the Manager and he hasn't done anything about it. What should I do? I am being ripped off and I don't appreciate it at all! Any ideas to the actions I should take?

I live in a bottom floor apartment and the neighbors upstairs sound like they are running a zoo out of their house! All I hear is stomping, running, people dropping heavy things, and everyday, they put their stupid dog on their balcony where he just sits and barks and barks and barks and barks!
I have to deal with this on a day to day basis. I have contacted the manager and even told him in person, and he said there is nothing he can do about it. I've called the police, but all that is, is a slap on the wrist! The cops come over and say stop, but yet it continues EVERYDAY!
And what pisses me off is that as soon as I turn my music up so I can freggin' hear it over their stomping, they call the cops on me!
I want to move right now but I'm only two months into my lease, and it would cost a fortune to get out of it. What should I do? I'm at my wit's end!!!!!!!!!
