I wish you would have said what time of the day the wedding was, and what weather it will be there.
For evening, A party dress, suitable for a 16 year old is fine. Modest and pretty will get you compliments. No sequins, simple, with great lines. Lace is ok. Keep the jewelry simple, and your hair something that you will not have to fuss with.
For morning or afternoon, can't go wrong with a dressy suit. I looked up "things" web site, the changhra choli in yellow, and the green net one next to it were both very pretty, and appropriate for evening.

Wear a nice dress or a two piece suit, and have your hair tied in a small bun with a hair slide to match the dress/suit. Shoes to match.
