I think some of them are very handsome, have decent characters and overall have a good sense of the world. But they always want to date other girls and never marry them. Why? I am not able to understand why they always change their mind and close up their mentality when it comes to love and care....

this happened to a few friends of mine and I am always confused as to why they are so short term minded....

No offense to anyone, just wanna know why they do this.

I belong to a small church & most of the members ancestors helped found the church, so we're close knit. We have a very outspoken pastor. She's not flashy, but she likes to look good. Can anyone help, PLEASE?!?!

Isn't not responding to email pretty much just like ignoring someone during a conversation, or not returning a phone message?

I pretty much have stopped talking about my personal life to my assistant (just me and her in our department) for the past year because I felt everything I told her about was an oblique attack on her part. According to her for example, my young son didn’t talk at the right age, I sold my home at the wrong time, I should have bought another car instead, I should have gone out to a better restaurant, etc. I say black and she automatically says white. Her son is a genius and I will be lucky if my son completes high school later on in life because he’s not reading and writing at 3 yrs old. You get the idea. Am I wrong not to be personal with her and keep it to business only?

It really annoys me, especially if you've bought loads of stuff and they can obviously see you don't have a bag with you, what are you expected to do - carry it all out of the shop in your arms? I think shop staff should at least ask if you want a bag, I get really annoyed when I have to ask them and they act like it's such an effort!

I can understand it's cheaper for the shop and better for the environment but there are times when you just really need a bag! Ppl from Southern Ireland are probably used to this but the bag tax isn't in the UK yet so shops here should at least offer us a bag when we've bought alot of awkward to carry stuff.

I am a server, and if not being too arrogant, a darn good one. I'm rather confident in what I do.

Trying to find out what people think on this. Via my tips, it seems like MOST people know how to tip properly, and others seem to just be ignorant about it.

The min. amount of a tip should be 15%. Period. If the service is wonderful, then 20%! If you tip a flat 20% always, it's greatly appreciated.

If you don't think you should tip, you shouldn't dine out. The service staff pays taxes on their sales.

Also, do you tip when you place a call in or walk in carry out order? The person taking care of you should receive a tip as well.

We just moved into a four-plex. We live upstairs over a family with two small boys. The boys and mother alike leave trash out in the parking lot, their dog tears into trash they leave on their porch, and never pick it up!
I have asked them before to please clean up after their kids, & dog and they did for a SHORT TIME, not soon after it was back to normal.
When they ask my son to sit for them, he has to clean the house to feel comfortable in their home! When he brought it up to them, they offered him a "lot" more money to clean up the house for them, which he would have done anyway, but hey getting paid to do it is better!
I am not a nit-picky person but I don't like litter. I even pick-up trash on the routes I take to walk our dog, because I don't like looking at it!
So how do I tell them again, and make an impression that will stick with out ruining our neighborly feelings? Do you think it would be out of bounds for me to ask the young ones to pick-up their trash?

I have a good friend who seems to attract a lot of stupid jerks who think it's funny to kick eachother and drop someone's belongings off a bridge... (I know random). I also hate the verbal abuse that is always the basis of conversation, always making a mean joke of someone. I hate them all (guys and girls) except for one (girl) even though she's pretty violent herself. I tend to start following their mannerisms and joke about violence and stuff like it's funny. It's getting weird for me but now I'm really good friends with this girl. How can I tactfully avoid the morons being morons without ditching the group directly? Is it even possible to use 'etiquette' in such a situation?

Well here's the deal, my sister is now an adult and my parents own a small townhouse near where we live and they rent it out. So what my parents are doing is they're going to let my sister move into the townhouse with one of her friends and her friend will pay half the rent while my parents pay my sister's half. They're also going to furnish the apartment for her, but she has to get a job for food and regular expenses. They'll do this for all of us (3 kids) and I'll be moving out soon. I got kind of annoyed when I heard my sister was moving out completely covered, and she was taking heaps of our stuff with her like my computer desk (i'm getting her old one). Am i being selfish, or are my parents going over the top? Help, opinions? Selfish sibling a.k.a me?

My husbands uncle just passed. I need to write a letter to my husbands aunt and cousin. I meet them a couple years ago when they came to the states to visit for a couple weeks he was really a very good hearted man from what I have witnessed and heard. He left a everlasting impression on all of our families children as well. He was very funny and a joy to be around. Ofcourse losing a family member must be very difficult. Absolutly heart breaking. However I don't think it would be a proper thing to say to them. I also really don't believe that would be anything they would like to hear either. I'm not a very comforting person. I happen to be too blunt and when I'm confused or nervous I tend to ramble on. See take what you have read so far for an example. So does anyone have any suggestions or examples of how I should write the letter and what I should say. My husband is even worse off than I am. He lost his sister recently and still has not dealt with it. He asked me to write it for him.

I attented a job fair last week at a hospital I really want to work at. I talked to a unit director who said he would like to have me on his unit as a nurse, and he took down my name and information and said for me to apply online, and he would look up my application. He also gave me his business card with contact information. I did apply online and have not heard from him within the week. I have a job offer from another hospital that I need to take if I will not be able to get on with this guy, even though it is not my first choice. Have I allowed enough time for him to contact me? Would it be appropriate for me to call him at this time? If so, what should I say without making him feel I am rushing and pushing him, etc?? Thanks!

Ok, I've got $50 to spend

I need to buy a present for a very introverted, middle aged man who had very few interest or hobbies. I don't want to get a gift voucher / store card or anything like that.

He has few discernible interests and I know that he is not much of a reader or a wine appreciater / foodie, etc.

Any spiffing ideas?

I'm a single mother (the ONLY single parent in my family) and it seems as though my family feels sorry for me. They have given me food or mailed me money, bought my kids coats and shoes in the winter...like you would a homeless person. I have reiterated to them on several occasions that we are just fine. I make plenty of money to support all of us. My kids always have what they need...they are wearing coats and new shoes BEFORE someone gives it to us. How to I *politely* tell them that we don't need or want to accept handouts? I'm perfectly fine with b-day/Christmas gifts, because I enjoy giving gifts too. But we're not needy and I would like them to stop acting as if we are. Please help!

I hike Camelback Mt in Phx Az and there are several places
where it's similar to a road with a median except for a sign.
Why the hell do so many people walk on the left?

Serious answers now please.
There's a woman at my workplace that has a horrible body odor and no one knows how to go about breaking it to her.
She is absolutely the nicest person and we don't want to hurt her feelings.
Tried the buying lotions, perfumes bit. No luck. Even sarcastically said phuwee someone stinks thing.
I think I'm gonna be the one to break it to her, any suggestions?
