Whatever. Women are no better. Proper etiquette is to leave the seat AND the lid down. To this day I haven't met a woman who knows how to put the lid down.

They make a toilet seat that is self closing. Well worth the money for couples where this is a problem. It will save a lot of bickering.

There is nothing worse than falling in a toilet in the middle of the night when you're half asleep and don't notice an open seat. I did that a couple times and had a hard time getting back out.

What I find stupid is the idea that anyone apart from a child can actually fall in a toilet. I am about as skinny as it gets and my bum is beyond the sides of the toilet seat when i sit on the toilet I could never fall down it if I sat on it with the toilet seat up. I thought women had bigger hips than guys anyway, so you'd have to be tiny to fall down a toilet.

The lid should go down before flushing, regardless of what's been done in there. When the water starts swirling, millions of invisible germs float up into the air and coat your toothbrush *gag*, face cloth, soap, etc.

Plus I agree: it just looks better.

*OR* Toilet train your cats, then there's always a reason to leave the seat down and lid up.

I personally don't care how the toilet seat is left, unless we have company over. It's not a huge deal if I have to put it down. If you keep your toilet nice and clean, it looks 'decent' no matter how the seat is left.

Here's the solution. Unfortunately it takes a couple of generations to resolve the problem completely, but it IS the perfect solution:
Women should teach their sons to sit down. Problem solved.

This one is easy " Alpha male", why should we have to do twice he work, put it up, put it down, men need the seat up. So if the seat is down when I go to urinate, I would have to lift the seat up and then put it back down again when I'm done - that's a lot of work. On the other hand, women don't need to do anything. Is this fair? I say let the woman get her butt stuck in the pot late at night, it makes for a great laugh at parties, either way she gets wet by splatter or a dunk.

LOL I don't think there's a solution to it...... these stickers are fun but I don't think my man would take the hint seriously.... he's just too lazy or careless or forgetful, and doesn't think it's a big deal, I don't make a big deal about it either, but yeah it does bother me and I wish he was a bit more thoughtful. But we can only dream, right..!!??
