I got rid of my roommates LONG ago. For the same reasons as you describe. My first apartment was a breath of fresh air. It was SO NICE to have my own place. I then purchased a home...about 6 years ago...and am still living on my own. But it's great, as I've decorated it to totally suit my taste, and don't have to worry about cleaning up after anyone. And yes...my house is pretty pristine. No clutter, dirty dishes, or piles of laundry laying around. Start saving up your money for a nice downpayment. Now is a good time to buy! With so many houses on the market, sellers are getting desperate and you can probably find some real deals out there.

Chin up!! You won't have roommates forever!!

Mine is great! I live at home, but our basement is like a suite. I have my own kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom, and I even have a dance room that I made with mirrors and hardwood floor! And I don't pay rent so everything I am making goes right into my savings. When I am ready to move up, I'll be a step ahead! I decided that I would rather suck it up and live at home until I have a downpayment to buy a home, than to pay rent the rest of my life. So I really can't complain. I am 21 by the way.

I live in TX in a house almost twice the size of our old one. We have four bedrooms and one son. I'm a very messy housekeeper, so we just try to keep the living room and kitchen "ready for company." I have a sun room where I use the computer and arrange my flowers. Just down the street is a beautiful creek with ducks and geese (sometimes babies) and a walking trail. We live in Texas, and our rent is $1400/mo.

Free like a bird in the sky.

Had a roommate but he could not put up with the noise from my bedroom (girlfriend tends to be a bit loud).

hi, well i live in a doll house which means even when it's clean it looks cluttered. my room mate is my husband so i think i'm lucky in that area. we rent & i can't wait to own our dream house someday in the near future. even though we don't have any money saved. but we can dream right? i would start to look for a new room mate or another place to live if i were u cuz it seems that u aren't happy where u are now. good luck, nobrethequeen
