When visiting your doctor, would you prefer a 10-15 min visit that included less socializing and a short time in the waiting room or a 30-45 minute visit involving a long wait and more socialzing. The level of medical care would be the same in each. Assume the physician is friendly and polite in both situations. What would you prefer as a patient.

...do you find yourself starting to become attracted to that person? Does it confuse you? Make you feel uncomfortable?

How do you feel when this happens to you?

I saw two ladies at work today who had their noses pierced...the "rings" stuck out of their nostrils like silver boogers and were very distracting. Was it rude of me to stare?

I make friends with people but i always see the negative sidesof them. I see them as annoying and boring. I am not mean and sometimes i have to pretend just because I have to be nice to the person. Even if you dont like the person you have to be nice to them. Everyone thinks im nice. But doesn't it feel like im pretending? I think of everyone's bad side inside yet act nice on the outside? Im tired of pretending. I only show my meaness to my family because i care about everyone else but my family. As in i care about everyone else's feelings.

She is 19 years old, loves horses, has horses and was going to college to be a Equine Vet. We are freinds of her parents, actually, my hubby is her dad's boss. We are freinds also. Any suggestions? thanks

Quiet girl usually keeps to herself but has gradually been talking a little more lately. Very soft-spoken though. Tends to look downwards more than she makes eye contact but if she catches your eye, she will give a warm, genuine smile. Appears to show concern for others and is very empathetic. Always greets you with a smile.

But while answering a question today, she appeared to fumble over an answer and paused as if she was searching for the right words and still seemed to struggle with verbalizing her thoughts. Seemed like she blanked out and stumbled over her response. She then pulled back and didn't offer any additional ideas. Pretty much remained quiet after that.

What would you think of her? Does she give off a good/bad impression? Would you gravitate towards her or distance yourself?

This might sound dumb, but when you set a table does the fork really go on the left?

New commers in the organization I've been in for 2-3 years are really rude to me. I dont know how to get them to be less rude to me and I haven't even talked to them ever. I'm not really geeky or annoying (even if I was, they wouldnt be able to tell) and each day they seem to get worse and worse. What do I do so that they are less annoying?

You could fart, turn on the fan, roll down the windows and hope the scent fades. You could hold it and wait until you're clear of the cashier's window? Me? Hey let it rip! No sense of getting your insides in a bind.

a pastor and his pregnant wife and 2 year old live with us- it was suppose to be two weeks, but it has been 2 months and still counting. They have not offered to buy any food, but they eat ours. They use the laundry soap, and leave lights on in the day. I could have afforded two weeks, but only have 100 dollars left in my account. I have to hunt down lost items. I don't get any thank yous, I am sorry, or appreciation. Today I almost cried. I was painting their house and my food was brought over for the spouse in my containers, for lunch and supper, and I was not even offered water.

Playing strip poker with a bunch of friends, equal guys and girls. I always have played that you loose a hand you take off a piece of clothing and play until you are buck naked when you loose and stay naked until there is a winner then everyone gets there clothes back. Those are the rules right? Your clothes represent money and you pay till all your money is gone, unless you win.
One girl said she allways payed to underwear. That is not stripping! To strip is to remove your clothes, if your wearing underwear you have not removed your clothes, and not stripped.

Am I right?
How do you play?

How do I respond when people tell me I'm beautiful or pretty. Usually I say "Thanks, but you haven't met my little sister. She's ridiculously beautiful" (which is true). Or often, people compliment on my clothes, or jewelry and I'll say where I bought them, or whether they were difficult to find, or new or I tell them that their dog or child is beautiful. I always feel as if I'm doing wrong in these situations and being rude. How can I strike a balance between being too humble and not humble enough?

Here is the scenario. We are at the mall with 3-month-old baby and 2.5 year old daughter. We are shopping and the baby makes a stinky poop, so we head to the nearest bathroom, which is just a normal bathroom with 2 regular stalls and a handicap stall with a baby changer inside. I get the 2.5 year old on the potty, then get the baby out of the stroller and change her. When baby is changed and the 2.5 year old is done, I also use the restroom. I admit this does take around 10 minutes. When the three of us get out of the stall, this elderly woman with a cane (who could have gotten into a normal stall just fine) rudely tells me there is a family bathroom at the mall.

So my question is, is it wrong of me to take the kids into a normal handicap stall with a diaper changer instead of hauling them clear across the mall so I don’t inconvenience anyone? Why would the diaper changer be in the stall if it wasn’t for moms to use?

Today when I was at the gym, I saw a man doing lat pull-downs in a way that I was told never to do at physical therapy. He was doing them behind the back instead of in front, which can potentially be harmful to the shoulders. I felt bad that he might be harming himself, but I also didn't feel like random commentary from a stranger would be welcome. What do you think?

I was not rude, racist or foul mouthed and they suspended me. I really do like this site but if you cannot have a bit of banter when someone asks a question then I feel robbed, I lost everything I worked for and now have to start back at the beginning.. is this normal????

I've been invited to a formal birthday party (RSVP). Is it okay to bring my husband along even if his name is not on the invitation? Should I call them to let them know I'm bringing him or is it understood that he is not invited?
