Obviously I will be fired, but I'm okay with that at this point. But, can one be sued for slapping someone? I have just had it with this ****** taunting me at work. He's always saying "I'm about to pimp slap somebody around here" so I'm thinking tomorrow I'm going to walk up to him and just backslap the hell out of him.

I have always had old fashioned ways, and I hate when a man does not have a car and wants me to drive him around, or pick him up and bring him to my house. I find this kind of embarrassing.
So dont you think I'm way to old school, or do other woman feel this way ??
( please no rude answers, it's just a question )

I work at a place that offers special discounts for seniors. However, our "age" for seniors is 65+, instead of the usual 55+. This is posted on our many signs for admission prices, however, many people read over that and assume the age is 55+. I admit, I'm not the best judge of age, and I have a difficult time telling if some people are really seniors or not. If anyone has / works for a new home-owned business, you know that every dime matters, and we could be loosing quite a good chunk of profit with unauthorized senior discounts.

So I ask- What is the best way to go about confirming someone's age without offending them, or being to intrusive?

If the item will just be brought in through the front door and left there without the delivery man having to do anything else.

I find it particularly annoying when college-aged people still feel the need to kick or lean on my seat during a lecture. Normally I just grin and bear it but I've developed back problems which make it uncomfortable to have someone nudging the back of my chair for 3 hours. The other day in class a relatively big guy sits down next to me and literally spreads out taking up a seat and a half... I spent most of the lecture scrunched up in my seat to avoid having this guy practically sitting on me, which also killed my back by the end of the class. Had there been other seats, I would have gladly moved, yet it's usually not an option. How do you politely ask people to respect your space without coming across as snotty?

Everybody else only stood up when a touchdown was made by our team. The 2 women KNEW other ppl were behind them....they did not seem to care that we couldnt see around them.Is it just me,or was their behavior totally rude and inconsiderate?

If I go out to a nice restaurant and have dinner and the bill comes to $200.

There are many on this board that say, leave a $40 tip you cheapskate its my right to make that 20%!!!

There are others that say, tip is extra you leave up to 20% based on the service you received. There is no minimum or maximum.

At 20% I can't help but think its an entire sham, that server thinks that is his/her right to be getting paid like a doctor.

I do tip well, if I'm being charged a reasonable price. If I go out for fine dining where meal price is inflated, why should the tip be as well?,Why should the tip be enough to buy a meal and tip at another lesser restaurant?

Please explain.

My brother recently came out of the closet and he has the full support of our entire family. My uncle however was recently overheard saying that he "always detected a touch of lavender" when it came to my brother. When asked what he meant he just shrugged and said, "I always noticed a hint of mint about him"...my sister thinks this was a horrible thing to say. As far as I know it's the only comment my uncle's had about this whole thing. I think we should let it drop but my sister is seething. My uncle is in his 70s and if anything I think he showed restraint compared to what he could have said.

I'm 17 years old and started an excerise and fitness college course just over a month ago. I'm getting horrible remarks because i'm not able to keep up with the practical work (excercise). I'm a recovering anorexic, my BMI is still classed as 'underweight'. Although i've put on a lot of weight since i've got better, and getting nearer to the 'average' mark, it's left me with a lot of health problems and has damaged my insides. So I find cardio work very hard. I often have to step to one side, and the girls make snide comments that i'm lazy, and moan to my tutor that she's letting me get away without doing any work. I'm pretty sure my tutor thinks i'm lazy too. My tutor and classmates dont know about my 'condition', and I don't want to tell them because i'm trying to move on. I go out running everyday at my own pace so I can gradually get fitter, so i'm trying my best. But no one sees it that way. What should I do about the critism i'm getting?

I have a friend I work with that was recently promoted to being a manager of a team. I am looked for good suggestions for some gifts for her. They must travel well - wither through mail or via air travel as I will be visiting her next week.

I attended a funeral for my boyfriends nephew, although I arrived alone and stood at the back, so I didn't see any of the family. It was an Indian funeral, and as I've never been to one before I didn'y know what to expect. After standing in a line to do something, I was told to walk to the other side of the room, I assumed it was to stand in another line. I didn't realise until I passed my boyfriend that it was to acknowledge the family, and I had walked past them all. Is it worth an apology when I see the family, or better not to bring it up?
