They have no respect for themselves or others. They do not care what they look like or the image they present to the public. They care not for caring for themselves.

I do not refer to the harried mother who must take her child to the doctor and doesn't have the luxury of time to dress for the opera! There are always exemptions to be made for emergencies and such.

I, and dare I say the questioner, refers to those who DO have the TIME to CHOOSE what they will wear, and yet choose to wear torn, sloppy, ugly clothing, or their pajamas, making them look like someone just put them through a shredder and spit them out the other side.

Believe it or not, I had a gal come to a JOB INTERVIEW wearing her pajamas!!!! Needless to say, she did NOT get the job!

Such people show a lack of consideration and respect for how others see and perceive them AND the lack of caring for the condition of their own selves.

I'm not saying that everyone ought to dress as if they are attending a funeral or a Whitehouse state dinner. But neatly dressed and cared for clothing is the least one can ask for from people making "public" appearances.

Have a polite day.

Because they're not dressed to impress. Chances are they don't care what a zero who's judging them solely on how look's oppinion. Some people are busy, and aren't going to make themselves up to your standards to run to the store, or to pick up the kids from soccer. You may have nice clothes, and you may make yourself perfect to run errands.. But on a scale of one to ten i give your personality a -4 just for posting a question like this.. Which to me is far more important than someone having a rip in they're jeans.

because they don't want to impress you, it's no big deal. I often run to the store for a quick item when I'm cooking or about to. It's a quick trip and I'm not gonna get dolled up to give you something to look at. I really don't care what you or anyone else thinks as long as I'm happy, I'm good.

you sound like a judgemental jerk. These people don't have you in their minds, they have their own things going on, and that's okay.

Some people don't feel like it's their job to impress everyone else 24/7 by always looking perfect. Some of us simply don't give a damn what anyone else is going to think of us. ;) Why should we let our looks dictate our whole lives?

I'm a mom. If I need something from the store for my daughter, I'm going out to get it no matter how I look. I may not have slept in days because she has been sick or fussy, so I may not have had 5 minutes in the bathroom alone to shower, let alone put on makeup. I'm not out to impress you. I'm not single, I'm not some silly teen. I'm a mom.

i'm probably one of the ones you would call "messy"--my clothes are getting pretty worn out. but my housing situation is taking up most of my finances at the moment, and, unfortunately for you i guess, food comes before high fashion for me.

i do wash my face, brush my teeth and hair before leaving the house...when i can afford contacts again i'll be able to wear makeup.

why would you care, though? maybe rather than asking a random question to anonymous strangers you should have the balls to ask someone in person why they aren't dressed to your standards. psh. doubt you could do it with your head up and looking at them straight in the eye.

You obviously have never had a sick child or spouse and had to run and get medicine and supplies very quickly. I'm not going to make my children suffer any longer than they have to just to take a shower and fix myself up to impress someone.

The question the presense of your question rises is: why do some people pick self-insulting names like your own avatar's....Hhhmmm?
