This one young lady I was seeing told me she was very shy and had not had sex in like 10 years. So being a gentleman, I tried to take it easy, the next thing you know, this lady is suddenly growling like an animal and telling me to beat it up and to steal her lunch money.
What the hell?

Last night I went on a date to Buffalo Wild Wings. It was pretty busy and we got seated at around 9:30. We got our drinks a few minutes later and we ordered our food a few minutes after that. We were told that food took an hour to make since they were so busy, but it has died down, so it would take less than an hour. We said ok and proceed to talk, watch the screens, etc. After around 30 minutes, we noticed that the restaurant was a lot less full than before. Our waiter told us our food would be out in 'just a minute'. 15 minutes after that we watched the waiters serve food to everybody in the restaurant except us. Seriously, everyone that we could see had food except us and the restaurant was less than half full. I know for a fact that there were other people that came in after us. After an hour has passed we complained to the manager, who acted like we should have understood cuz they were so busy and that we have an attitude problem. Should we not have complained?

We moved in to our new house about 6 weeks ago and so far hardly anyone has come over to say hi, or if we are outdoors and see them across the yard, they still don't wave or smile. I know everyone loved the people that lived here before us, but come on! So, it's been 6 weeks and we are now settled and I am wondering if I should walk around and introduce myself? Even though they should have been the ones to do it...can I do it this late and not seem weird? Thing is, there are a lot of moms at home around here like myself and I'd really like to make a friend with similar interests to my own. Thanks for any advice!

I'm going with my friend to there friends b-day party. I don't personally know them. What is an apporpiate gift to give someone you don't know? If money is suggested what is a good amount?

I recieved a gift bag from the mother of a student I just started tutoring. What would be a good return gift or thank you card? I am definatly getting her a card, but would a gift also be appropiate and if so what?

For the card, what should I include? I want to thank her for the gift and that I look forward to working with her and her son, should I add anything else?

What would be the best way to tell people to turn the volume down on their MP3s or whatever they are listening? while traveling on the bus, tube, train etc...

This morning on the bus to work, a young girl probably 18-19 had her speaker phone on loud to listen to her tunes, while the bus was full, no one dared to tell her (not even me) although everyone was giving her dirty looks, she couldn't even care less.
I moved further in and there was another woman, listening to some other tunes with her ear pieces but the music was so loud that all you can hear is beats and hissing, which is mostly irritating...
And then another stupid cow sat next to me, with the same loud music leaking from her earphones...

Please advise if it is rude to ask people to turn their noise down, or am I being a moaning cow myself?

My wife and I had a--let's call it a "discussion"--about the length of time you should hang up after a chat on the phone. She hangs up immediately after talking, which sounds like she's cutting off her converstation. She says that's ok. I think it's better to wait a couple of seconds after you say goodbye before you end the call.

Which one of us is right? Hang up immediately? Or, 1 2 3 then click.
(I will show her the answers to see who wins--thanks in advance!)

Today we met a property manager to see a piece of commercial property. He was well aware that my friend (male) and I are both in on starting a new business, but during the entry and exit.. he shook my friends hand.. but not mine.

Is it just because I'm a female? Would you be insulted?

Today was one of those days when I could've went over the edge. However, in the middle of rush hour traffic, I pulled over to the side of the road...and screamed. It came from deep inside me and lasted all of three seconds. I closed my eyes and gave it my all. I looked over to notice that a fellow commuter gave me a thumbs up. I actually felt better. Go figure.

I recently started a new job at a beautiful vacation resort. Although the job is great & my co-workers are friendly. I feel as if I'm being left out. The women all sport Louie Vuitton, Channel this, Jimmy Choo that. The men talk about the speeds of their boats and their weekend golf matches. The other day when I was asked for id & could not find my drivers license, HR told me to just show my passport. When I replied I didn't have one she seemed shocked, "you've never been out of the states?" was her reply. One of my "twenty something" co-workers has just left on a two week trip to London. Look...I've got four kids and bills that give birth to more bills! I shop at Wal-Mart and I make cuisine meals out of Raman noodles. I hate to seem anti-social, but I'm so out of place around them. A luxury trip to me is going to Disney once every three years. Does anyone understand?

In traffic lately, I've noticed that many people don't use turn signals when changing lanes or actually turning. So non-signal users: What are your reasons for not using them?

Are you morally opposed?

Do you assume all other people are psychic?

You don't know where they're located and are too embarrassed to ask?

Are you too busy texting and don't have an extra hand?

You just enjoy wreaking havoc during rush hour?

Can someone please explain this phenomenon to me?

Thank you.

no seriously, why do people, esp. women need so many clothes and shoes? Like Kimora Lee Simmons was on a show and said she had over 300 pairs of shoes!!! WTF??? How on earth are you ever going to get a chance to wear all of those shoes??? And why have them if you are not going to wear them? I just think it is so sad...I mean I personally only have 1 pair of sneakers, 2 pairs of tennis shoes (one which I no longer wear and am looking to get rid of), and 2 pairs of regular (non heeled) dress shoes (which I will probably keep for now). I don't even like heels because you can't move fast in them without falling. I also have only 3 pairs of jeans and 2 pairs of pants, along with a number of shirts. I don't even have that many shirts, but I still want to get rid of some because I feel it is useless to have them unless I wear them. And I got just about everything for free or from the thrift store. I am also in college and still can't drive despite being 21, so I certainly do not have a car.

My cousin is 26 years of age and she is very introverted, shy, and have very low self-esteem. She didn't become this way until she got in middle school. This is also around the same time people started to tease and make fun of her. This type of behavior from people have continued to go on all the way up until now. So even as an adult she is still very introverted. So is so introverted that she is afraid talk in front of people for fear that they are going to ridicule her because people make fun of her very slow speech. Someone please give me some advice on how i can help my cousin? And serious answers only please. I don't have time for sarcasm.

Someone commented that he thinks it's weird that I keep my Q&A private and yet I have a 'Top Contributor' badge. Correct me if I'm wrong but is Y!A a popularity contest? If I add someone as a Contact, it's because I honestly trust them. I don't think they'll use my answers against me. Some of my answers are very personal to me; it depends on the category. If I feel that the person asking a question will benefit from me sharing something personal, I'll share it with them. It's interesting how some people are quick to judge others. What do you think?

Thanks!

If a guy is staring at me forever and starts making me uncomfortable I will roll my eyes. I think it's just RUDE to stare, people forget their manners I guess. When I was single it really didn't bug me but now I'm married and it's irritating. If they are just glancing or looking at me then smiling friendly I politely smile back (so you guys know Im not just being a b*).

I'm 20 years old, and I'm in college. I'm tryin to make the most of my life and experience in college, and trying to figure out who I am. I'm studying Public Relations and International Business, and I'm also studying abroad next semester with my boyfriend. I was wondering, if you had a chance to be 20 again, what would you do differently. I'd like some insight on how to make the most of your life, and help figuring out who I am as a person. What things are important at this age?

earlier, i was eating at school (i go to college if this matters). there were lots of tables open. then this like middle aged guy (i'm like 20 if this matters) just puts his books on my lunch table at the other end (this is a long bench table, i was at one end, he put his stuff down at the other end, so its not like he put his books down on my stuff), but just sat down and started eating. i thought this was weird. id never had this happen. there were lots of other open tables, he just comes to my table like it's no thing. and this has never happened to me, so i didnt know if i shouldve said something or if you consider that rude, i didnt know, i mean i looked at him like "what are you doing?" and he didnt even look at me. i ended up moving. he didnt look at me or say anything and i didnt say anything. but that makes me wonder if that ever happened again, should i have said something? do you consider that rude if someone just did that to you?
