I work for a hosptial and I can't count how man times I'm explaining important information to a parent only to be interupted... and asked the question that I'm currently explaining.

It's soooo fustrating... I just want to say shut your mouth and listen. Natrually I can't do that but it really irks me especially when Parents are Smart A** about it.

I've tried headphones, but then I can't hear when people approach my cubicle. Any tips on how to gently approach her? Other solutions? Noise machine? Am I the only one who this irritates?

i found a diamond ring in the toilet and kept it. later the owner went into every office in the unit asking if they did find the diamond ring. i denied that i found it. so should i return the diamond ring or keep it?

comes to my house without warning to pass by and say hello, or drop off something!!
She has done this the last three times without as much as calling first. Last week it happened again and I was sick from the doctor's office and I just did not open.
I later called her and told her I was not home, even though my car was there.
Do I address this frustrating problem with her or just let it go!! I mean if she is bored of staying home all day, that is not my problem when I come from work, I dont feel like entertaining guests.

When you for example have a birthday card through the post with money in it.Do you go out of your way to thank the sender? Or, if your child has a card with money in it, do you make sure they write a thank you note?

i heard about them the first time last year on t.v., it was kind of funny cause i felt my heart palpiting and got very interested towards them suddenly and since then, it just keep coming back in my mind, to explore about them.

If color was taken out the picture what do you see? Was there actions justified and do you believe how far the NAACP has brought this? I say dont free them. Give them time and make them pay for there actions. As for the noose hangers. Well, they should do some time as well but there actions didnt physically hurt anyone it just hurt some black kids feelings thats all. Grow up and let the nooses go. We segregate on our own! If some would grow up and stop acting like they own everything and share like the education instilled upon each of us maybe we could all get along! Until the day that you can accept the past and stop living in it then we will never get along and the NAACP just keeps the racism pumping.

yesterday my boss was really nasty...hes in mexico at the moment and he was furious and it seems he wanted to let it all out to me....he was very offensive....i felt pretty offended....i dont wanna leave the job...as im off university so i cant find another.....but......what can I do? the worst is that it was not my fault.....it was someones else....

Does a servers service influence the % you tip on the total bill? if so, what factors play into or influence what you consider good service? would you prefer a friendly , witty or interesting server over someone who leaves you alone and just does their job? do you know servers only make 3.25 an hour?

i work at a local white tablecloth establishment and i do VERY well (32k+/yr) but i was wondering what the consensus for normal restaurant goers is regarding tipping.

I was not busy cause my work was slack and nothing to do. I caught myself day dreaming about something. I do not know whether I was speaking out loud or not. I looked up and there was this guy standing right in my face with a quizzical look on my face. I know I should have been on the ball but I did not feel well that day. I helped him and he went. We had our annual church picnic the other day. It was going good for a while. Then this guy Joe showed up. He's 3 years older than I am, went to high school with him. he's a "member" of our church, but never does anything. We do not like each other. He started problems with me and my 7 year old sister. I was the bigger man. I held my sister's hand and walked away. He pulled me on the shoulder and said don't turn away from him. I told him I want no problems and that to let go of me. Instead, he called me vulgar names and I tried to walk away. He grabbed me by the throat and started to choke me. I know some self-defense. I wasn't going to be choked out. I grabbed his pinkies, bent them backwards, and broke them. I then kneed him in the nuts and grabbed my sister and went to my parents. the members of our church are FURIOUS! I explained to them what I did was within MY right to safety. They said I should've waited for an "adult" to show up (i'm 20) and handle the situation.
