I was not busy cause my work was slack and nothing to do. I caught myself day dreaming about something. I do not know whether I was speaking out loud or not. I looked up and there was this guy standing right in my face with a quizzical look on my face. I know I should have been on the ball but I did not feel well that day. I helped him and he went. I feel so embarrassed. What can I do?

No. It is actually normal once in awhile believe or not. Do nothing get on with rest of the day, stay busy, do your work. Since there was no complaint about that then no worries.

A little embarrassment is okay. Just so long as you responded to the person in a good and professional way don't worry about it anymore. Just try not to do it again if possible and do the best you can to help the next customer. Thanks and good luck.

You could always kill him and dump the body in the river . . .

This is not something to torture yourself over, even if there is a complaint about it, you are guilty of being human like the rest of us. Humans get bored, so they do things to amuse themselves.

Since you promptly performed your duties, no one has any reason to give you static over this.

Certainly a "So what?" moment.

Unless your supervisor has an out of proportion reaction, then add HIS body to the mess . . .

It's not embarrassing. Do what you feel and like to do, even day dreaming. You should not pay attention to what others say or think about, it won't kill you.

Depends if you were dreaming about goals and ambitions you hold or being tied up and beaten with wet celery.

While day dreaming he may have tried to get your attention and you just didn't hear him. It happens to all of us. Forget it and keep plodding forward.
