Someone commented that he thinks it's weird that I keep my Q&A private and yet I have a 'Top Contributor' badge. Correct me if I'm wrong but is Y!A a popularity contest? If I add someone as a Contact, it's because I honestly trust them. I don't think they'll use my answers against me. Some of my answers are very personal to me; it depends on the category. If I feel that the person asking a question will benefit from me sharing something personal, I'll share it with them. It's interesting how some people are quick to judge others. What do you think?

Thanks!

To hide your Q&A, go to your Profile page, go to Edit my Profile, then go to Privacy and click on "On my public profile, hide my Q&A from people not in my Answers Network".

Hope this helps!

I am not at all offended by those who value thier privacy. Some things should not be expressed to the general public, and you have every right not to let them view it.

I like the question. It made me decide to make mine private. I've been debating whether or not to put mine on private.
I don't want people following me around either. It's a shame that we have to try to help people but be so cold at the same time. Everytime I think of other people it makes me guilty that I'm selfish enough to want to bring more children into this world.

You are a top contributor because you contribute. It has absolutely nothing to do with your profile whatsoever.

Not at all. The degree of Privacy one needs- is as Individual as the person themselves.

Privacy is yours to maintain or not as you choose.

How do you hide your Q&A, by the way?
