Whenever I have my sister over for dinner I am always careful to cook her fiance something vegetarian so he does not have to eat meat yet when we visit them they do not extend us the same courtesy of cooking us a meal with meat.....

Why is this?

My friend Michelle has this close friend Tyahnee who she grew up with and now they are both mothers with two kids. The thing is Tyahnee never buys Michelle or her boys gifts. Every time there is a birthday party she rocks up empty handed and this year she even turned up to Michelles wedding empty handed.
Michelle is quite upset as she is always very thoughtful and buys gifts for Tyahnee and her girls for birthdays, christmas etc.
Tyahnee buys gifts for other peoples kids but just not Michelles.
How should Michelle aproach this?

Or Worse yet....expectorate while waiting for a bus maybe....
collecting a pool of what would be considered, in a medical facility, as a biohazard.
Or maybe out of your car window while driving?
Are you proud to be a pig?
And a public nuisance?

I have made a very tough decision to continue my college education full time. I truly appreciate the opportunity you both have given me to work in your agency and expand my knowledge in the insurance business. Please consider this as my notice that my last day to work full time will be Friday, August 24, 2007. After this date I will be starting classes and I will only be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I would like to continue working for you on a part time basis, but I understand that this might not be a suitable schedule for the interest of the agency.

Maybe I'm blowing things out of proportion, but my coworker keeps telling me personal stuff about his life (I dont wanna hear aobut it). He is 35 and confiding in a 20 year old(me) about his friends, family, and sex life. The thing that freaks me out is that he looks really old which makes the situation very uncomfortable/makes me wanna gag.
This is how he kinda looks like:

ok, the consensus seems to be it's ok to place two orders at a drive thru. me, i think it's rude to the person/people in the vehicle behind you. if you want to order twice, i say park your car and go inside. but that's just uptight me. still, now i must ask: is it ok to place three orders? if two's ok, what's the limit?

I work in HR, my first job out of college in my field. An employee calls/emails/stops by all the time to ask about internal job postings. She asks every single question imaginable. I'm very nice to her and answer her as best as I can, but sometimes she takes up a lot of my time. My primary job is not employee relations OR job postings...I do post jobs, but it's a small fraction of what I do. How can I best deal with a needy person like this? I was told she is a very needy person.

My friend volunteers @ a summer camp with 400 kids aged 3-17, & 70% of the teenage girls just got pregnant this summer. & the sad part about it is that more than 1/2 of the girls are pregnant by MEN, & not boys. I know the dudes that work there are "extra friendly" with those girls & they're always hugged up like boyfriend & girlfriend. I go visit my friend sometimes & they let me observe the kids running around having fun. & they go swimming on my college campus & that's where they're REALLY hugged up @. I was instructed to mind my own business about the situation when I see it & try to report it because the"staff" tells me that I'm gonna get myself into hot water I can't get out of. & they lie & say they're gonna handle the situation & don't do anything about the situation. They are SO negligent & apathetic! I'm s confused because many people tell me to report things that's not right, & then when I report it, they tell me, "That's NOT your business!" Should I stay out of it?

My roomate has a part time job at a super market. Her car is in the shop, so I have been taking her back and forth to work. Today when she got off, we needed to pick up some things so we went shopping in her store. She still has her uniform on and we are walking around the store shopping and talking. This guy walks up asks where the flour was, he didnt say excuse me or anything. He just cut right in the middle of our conversation, so she told him what aisle and we went on with our conversation. Then he got mad and yelled well arent you supposed to take me to it, instead of running your mouth with her. When she told him that the reason she didnt take him to it was because she was not working he just said oh and walked away. No apology or anything. Is it employees job to cater to customers when they are a customer themselves? I mean he wouldnt have stopped to ask me a question like that, why her when she was a customer to?

Why is it still wrong based on race (ie, African descent), color (ie, black), ethnicity (ie, Latino), female gender, sexual orientation (ie, gay or lesbian), or religious beliefs, but it is still ok to stereotype and denegrate someone because of their short stature?

It seems like if you are a young, white, straight, able-bodied, Christian, upper class, male from the northern states...

Then you would be ok if "PC" went away and we all just used whatever flaming terms we wanted.

But think about all the hurling insults everyone else would have to endur:

The elderly
black people
latin people
asian people
native americans
women
gays
lesbians
handicapped
mentally challenged people
over/under weight
autistic people
southerners
people who don't have kids
people who are not married
Jewish people
Buddhist people
Agnostic people
Muslim people
addicts
alcoholics
people who are not educated
poor people
people with cancer
people with HIV
people with Sickle Cell Anemia
people with Parkinsons

It seems like people attack "PC" because they want to hate these groups.

What do you think?

I noticed among a lot of 20 somethings they use their bedroom like a living room. I am so old and never had to do that. Is because of roommate issues? Because it's what they did when they lived at home with the parents?

I never did this because I worked FT at 17 thru my twenties and never did the roommate thing. I didn't have to since I refused an expensive car payment and lived frugally.

I used to live in a house with a formal living room that doesn't get used but most of the hanging out is in the dining room by the latte machine when I do have friends over. I moved to an apartment and find my kids can't have naps during the day and are royal brats because the neighbors' are always hanging in their bedroom. Nope, not always sex but enough conversation, TV or games to keep my kids from getting rest.

So for those of you who spend all your time in the bedroom instead of the living room, why do you do it? What is the appeal of staying in one room?
