My friend volunteers @ a summer camp with 400 kids aged 3-17, & 70% of the teenage girls just got pregnant this summer. & the sad part about it is that more than 1/2 of the girls are pregnant by MEN, & not boys. I know the dudes that work there are "extra friendly" with those girls & they're always hugged up like boyfriend & girlfriend. I go visit my friend sometimes & they let me observe the kids running around having fun. & they go swimming on my college campus & that's where they're REALLY hugged up @. I was instructed to mind my own business about the situation when I see it & try to report it because the"staff" tells me that I'm gonna get myself into hot water I can't get out of. & they lie & say they're gonna handle the situation & don't do anything about the situation. They are SO negligent & apathetic! I'm s confused because many people tell me to report things that's not right, & then when I report it, they tell me, "That's NOT your business!" Should I stay out of it?

Report it. Do not compromise your values. What is wrong is wrong.

I have custody of my two grand-nieces who were "fathered" by a MAN who is TWENTY FIVE years older than my niece. (She was 17 when she got pregnant.) Ewwww.... I was in court for FOUR YEARS to get custody of them b/c I felt so strongly about my grand-nieces needing to get out of that environment. To answer your question...it all depends on what you can live with, knowing what you know. Will your conscience bother you if you don't report it? I agree with your assessment of the situation. Good luck.

It is ALL of our business. Continue reporting it or call the police. You will know that what YOU are doing is right.

Depending on state laws, it could be statutory rape. Unless you need this job desperately, I'd report it to a state agency. Don't know more about this, but a web search should start you off.

You should definitely report! You shouldn't be worried about what the staff will think but rather about the welfare of the girls!

How many lives are these jerks going to ruin before someone does something? Report it. If you are in college, you are old enough to know better!

I work at a camp, and that is INAPPROPRIATE in all circumstances. I suggest reporting it to the American Camp Association.
